Job Description

This position is for a full-time Project Manager to join Keysight’s Quantum Engineering Solutions (QES) organization, which is responsible for producing world-leading solutions in quantum technologies, including quantum computing, quantum communications and quantum sensing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for tracking project deadlines, managing delivery schedules, and leading a team of talented engineers and researchers. While a deep understanding of quantum computing is not required, some familiarity with the field is beneficial. Experience in HPC (High-Performance Computing), data science projects cloud computing, and managing open-source projects will be highly preferred.

Job Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the lifecycle of projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with project goals.
• Track project milestones, deadlines, and deliverables, adjusting plans as necessary to meet objectives.
• Lead and motivate a multidisciplinary team, fostering collaboration and effective communication across all project stages.
• Collaborate with technical leads to ensure project scope and objectives are aligned with organizational goals.
• Coordinate with stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status and addressing any risks or issues that may arise.
• Ensure proper documentation and reporting for all project phases.

Job Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management or equivalent.
• Over 10 years of experience in project management, preferably in a technical or scientific environment.
• Basic understanding of software engineering.
• Experience managing HPC, data science, and cloud computing projects is strongly preferred.
• Experience managing open-source projects is a plus.
• Good understanding of quantum information science is desired but not mandatory.
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work in a collaborative environment and to develop teamwork among individuals and over geographically disperse teams.
• High tolerance for ambiguity, results-oriented, meets timelines, handles pressure while working positively in a collaborative manner.

- Machinery R&D division in Japan

- Machinery Engineering section in ASEAN factory

POSITION PROFILE:
This position is to organize the activities for enhancement of production capability in ASEAN factories such as local machine fabrication, providing technical support to ASEAN factories and machine design collaboration with Japan HQ.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Policy, strategy alignment and coordination of project by collaborating with Japan HQ or other group company in Japan
• Initiate periodical meeting with Japan HQ or other group company to solve problems in own Division
• Provide technical support to ASEAN factories such as machine setup, machine modification and machine trouble shooting
• Plan and arrange training session for machine engineers in ASEAN factories
• Manage the task of Japanese and local vendors
• Perform a machine maintenance capability assessment for oversea factory
• Create department policy and permeate
• Hold periodical meeting with headquarters and ASEAN factories
• Manage tasks of subordinates

Ability/Competency required:

• Master Degree in Mechanical engineering or Electrical engineering.
• Minimum 15 years working experience in machine design or equivalent.
• Fluent in Japanese speaking & writing and business level English speaking & writing skills to support communication with Japan and other oversea affiliate
• Logical thinking, conceptual skill and good leadership
• Proactive attitude and strong communication and interpersonal skills.
