• Monitor transactions and activities in client accounts

Responsibilities

Regulatory Compliance

• Provide compliance advisory in areas of Banking Act 1970 (“BA”), Securities and Futures Act 2001 (“SFA”) and Financial Advisers Act 2001 (“FAA”) to all Business Units and departments.

• Provide advice on compliance-related initiatives such as new product launch, review of marketing materials, etc.

• Conduct Regulatory Review in accordance with the Compliance Review and Training Plans, including but not limited to Balanced Scorecard review.
• Attend to all Representative Notification Framework related matters, including Notification for Appointment of a Representative and Cessation of a Representative under the SFA/FAA.
• Coordinate, liaise, handle enquiries and ad-hoc/periodic submissions to Head Office and MAS promptly.

Anti-Money Laundering Compliance

• Provide advisory/clearance of daily payment gateway screening hits and periodic name screening hits in relation to sanctions and adverse news (when required).
• Review suspicious and irregular transactions in customers’ accounts and conduct basic inquiry into such transactions with a view to filing a Suspicious Transaction Report to the Suspicious Transaction Reporting Office (“STRO”) when appropriate.
• Address ML/TF queries from Business Units (Credit & Syndication, Retail Banking and Trade Finance) and departments in relation to new customers’ onboarding and ongoing transactions.
• Perform high/low risk corporate customer periodic review.
• Conduct Enterprise-Wide Risk Assessment with Business Units within the Bank.
• Undertake overall responsibility of the name screening tool, including review and reporting of true hits for follow-up actions.

Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA)/ Common Reporting Standard (CRS)

• Liaise with third party vendor on FATCA/CRS application, organize and coordinate data generation/information received from Operations/IT Department for annual submission to IRAS.
• Assist with FATCA / CRS compliance requirements.

Others

• Provide trainings in the areas of Regulatory and AML/CFT Compliance.
• Provide cover for team members within Compliance Department in assigned areas during their leave of absence.
• Undertake other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Degree holders, preferably in Banking & Finance, Accounting, Business or Law.
• Candidates with certifications such as Diploma in Compliance or Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (ACAMS) would be viewed favourably.
• Good working knowledge in banking laws, particularly SFAFAA, FATCA/CRS and/or, AML/CFT requirements.

Responsibilities

Client Relationship Management

• Own the client relationship and lead the client engagement for the assigned accounts by having a strong understanding of their business priorities
• Foster relationships at all levels and functions of the client organization to identify opportunities for incremental product/solution sales
• Work with the Customer Success team to ensure client service standards are delivered

Business Development

• Provide relevant product solutions that answer client business issues/opportunities

Job Responsibilities:

Product Maintenance

• Responsible for timely re-lodgement of Prospectus and Product Highlight Sheet (PHS) for regulatory filing with the Monetary Authority of Singapore (‘MAS’).
• Responsible for product enhancements to support business initiatives and/or comply with regulatory changes. This will include amendment of Trust Deed, preparation of notice and ensure its timely dispatch to unitholders.
• Responsible for maintenance of funds in foreign registration (e.g. Taiwan, Brunei) and assist with local filing and reporting requirements (including the preparation of quarterly fund factsheets and translated prospectus).
• Responsible for periodic distribution payout of funds, ensure accuracy of information (i.e., distribution per unit) and payouts are executed in a timely manner.
• Preparation of materials for periodic meetings with Product Development Committee.
• Maintain product-related information and assist with product-related queries.
• Handles fund related matters, including making invoice payments for costs incurred in the course of legal filings etc.
• Requires working closely with the relevant functional units such as Legal, Compliance and Operations as well as external legal counsels and Trustee

Product Development

• Assist with setup of new products (Authorised and/or Restricted scheme), including taking minutes of meetings and making sure issues raised for the project are addressed and the fund is timely registered with the Authority in support of Sales’ product launch timeline.
• Requires liaising with relevant function units such as Sales Distribution team, Operations and Compliance.

Support for the Business Management

• Work on ad-hoc projects or any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Pre-Requisites:

• Diploma in Law or Degree, preferably in Business, Finance & Accountancy

• At least 2 years of relevant experience in the financial industry (in product, para-legal or compliance role would be advantageous)
