Responsibilities
ā¢ Support of the design, development, and management of network, servers, virtualization and monitoring systems for new and existing park attractions.
ā¢ Deployment of Servers and virtual environments, including but not limited to UCS, VMWare, Windows servers 2018 and 2021.
ā¢ Support of the design of 3-tier and ISA-99 defense-in-depth network models to enforce security and increase network segregation and security among ride show networks.
ā¢ Design and execution of acceptance testing strategies including regular auditing of existing control networks and servers for predictive maintenance purposes.
ā¢ Participate in reviews of attraction data center architecture and ensure appropriate security, scalability, safety, redundancy, reliability, and sustainability design strategies are in place and are given proper weighting in the design objectives.
ā¢ Supporting the enhancement and maintenance of existing Datacenters.
ā¢ Working with corporate and enterprise network IT to ensure successful partnering and uptime requirements for networks & datacenters.
ā¢ Implementation and support of the next generation of shared services for ride show networking.
ā¢ Development of a strategy for fault management, including metrics and reporting.
ā¢ Generate system level documentation and manuals.
ā¢ Oversee existing attraction architecture renovations and updates. Understand hardware and firmware currently in use and ensure updates as appropriate for upgraded and obsolete equipment.
ā¢ Remain current with latest technology regarding hardware, software and security.
ā¢ Provide design and maintenance support for all attractions including training controls and tech services personnel.
ā¢ Maintain configuration management of hardware and software documentation.
ā¢ Partner with IT to ensure proper access, accountability, and processes.
ā¢ Ensure Engineering & Tech Services PCs integrate with various tools and programs that are required with technology in the field.
ā¢ Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established corporate policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
ā¢ Be willing to work nights, weekends and peak periods as required. Be on call for park support.
ā¢ Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
ā¢ Degree/Diploma in Computer Engineering or related
ā¢ 5+ years of experience with IT networking
ā¢ Experience in Data Center and virtualization technologies (UCS, VMware ESXi, vSphere, vSAN, vCenter and Windows Server, Linux Server)
ā¢ Experience with common network services, SNMP , Syslog, DNS, NTP , DHCP , AD, etc.
ā¢ Analyze network performance using Wireshark and provide root cause analysis, recommendations, guidance, and expertise in maintaining the highest level of performance.
ā¢ Experience in deploying, troubleshooting, and maintaining UCS Servers
ā¢ Experience in deploying, troubleshooting, and maintaining VMWare and Windows server 2016, 2018 and 2021
ā¢ Perform complex troubleshooting, backup, archiving, and recovery.
ā¢ Strong documentation skills
ā¢ Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle and change control.
ā¢ Ability to articulate and communicate design, security, and performance issues.
