Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Finance and Human Resources Manager to join our team. In this key leadership position, the Finance and Human Resources Manager will be responsible for leading the Finance department and overseeing all human resources functions. The ideal candidate will be a strategic, detail-oriented professional who:
· can efficiently and effectively manage financial operations to support the organization’s commitment to excellence in products and services.
· will be instrumental in building trust, encouraging teamwork, promoting effective communication, and fostering a positive organisational culture.
Responsibilities and Competencies:
- Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, cash flow management, and financial reporting.
- Implement internal controls to safeguard assets, minimize financial risks, and maintain accurate and reliable financial records.
- Prepare and present financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, to senior management and the board of directors.
- Conduct regular financial analysis and reporting to track expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities and trends, and provide insight to support decision-making processes and drive financial performance.
- Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract and hire qualified candidates who align with the company’s vision and mission.
- Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs, develop job descriptions, and conduct interviews and selection processes.
- Oversee the onboarding process to ensure a smooth transition for new employees into the organisation.
- Manage HR processes such as payroll, benefits and administration, leave management, performance appraisal and personnel records.
- Maintain the performance management systems to set clear performance expectations, provide regular feedback, and recognise and reward high performers.
- Coordinate the performance appraisal process and providing guidance to managers and employees.
- Serve as a trusted advisor and resource for employees regarding HR policies, procedures, and employment-related matters.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, internal policies, local labour laws/regulations, and ethical standards.
- Develop and implement the financial strategies, HR policies, procedures, and initiatives in alignment with the company’s core values and business objectives.
- Develop and manage the Finance and Human Resources departmental budget, ensuring proper allocation of resources and cost control measures.
- Lead the continuous improvement of accounting and HR processes, while driving the implementation of digital solutions to optimize and streamline these functions.
Requirements:
- Degree in Finance & Accounting and/or Human Resources Management
- Ability to set and control departmental goals and KPIs while working toward achieving the agreed KPIs
- Strong knowledge and understanding of accounting standards, employment acts, different mandatory regulations, and HR best practices
