Job Overview
The HR Manager will be responsible for overseeing the full spectrum of human resources activities, providing strategic direction to manage workforce requirements, optimize employee performance, and enhance employee engagement within the organization. The HR Manager will play a key role in promoting a positive corporate culture, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and contributing to business success by aligning HR strategies with organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Recruitment & Staffing
o Lead end-to-end recruitment processes including job analysis, job description creation, candidate sourcing, interview coordination, and selection.
o Work with department heads to ensure hiring decisions align with organizational needs.
o Oversee onboarding and induction programs to ensure new hires are integrated effectively.
2. Employee Relations & Engagement
o Build and maintain positive employee relations, serving as a trusted point of contact for employee concerns.
o Address and resolve workplace issues, including grievances, disputes, and conflicts, ensuring compliance with company policies and labor laws.
o Plan and execute employee engagement initiatives to enhance morale and retention.
3. Performance Management & Development
o Lead the performance management process, including goal-setting, regular feedback, performance appraisals, and development plans.
o Monitor and analyze employee performance and productivity, providing recommendations to improve individual and team performance.
o Organize training and development programs to upskill employees and support career progression.
4. Compensation & Benefits
o Oversee compensation planning, including salary reviews, bonus programs, and incentive schemes.
o Manage benefits administration, ensuring competitive benefits offerings aligned with industry standards, including health insurance, leave, and retirement plans.
o Conduct regular benchmarking of compensation and benefits to ensure competitiveness and equity.
5. Compliance & Policy Management
o Ensure adherence to Singapore's labor laws, including Employment Act, CPF regulations, and other statutory requirements.
o Draft, review, and update company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local and international regulations.
o Coordinate with external legal advisors or government agencies when necessary for legal matters related to employment.
6. HR Strategy & Business Partnering
o Develop and implement HR strategies that support organizational goals and objectives.
o Partner with senior management to provide HR insights that inform business decisions.
o Offer guidance on organizational development, change management, and restructuring activities.
7. HR Reporting & Data Management
o Prepare and analyze HR-related reports and key performance indicators (KPIs), tracking trends such as turnover, employee satisfaction, and training effectiveness.
o Use HR analytics to generate insights that inform strategic decisions and process improvements.
o Manage HR databases and ensure accurate, up-to-date employee records.
8. Team Leadership & Development
o Lead, mentor, and develop a team of HR professionals to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of HR services.
o Foster a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and professional development within the HR team.
o Conduct regular performance reviews for HR staff and provide development opportunities.
Qualifications & Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of HR experience, with a strong background in managing HR teams and overseeing all HR functions.
• In-depth knowledge of Singapore's labor laws, compensation & benefits, and HR best practices.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
• Proven ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing business environments.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
• Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Working Conditions:
• Location: Primarily office-based in Singapore.
• Hours: Full-time position, typically from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with occasional extended hours during peak periods or to meet specific HR-related deadlines.
