Responsibilities
As a SAS (Statistical Analysis System) Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing SAS programs and solutions to meet the analytical and reporting needs of the organization. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, understanding business requirements, and utilizing SAS tools to create effective data analysis and reporting solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Data Analysis and Interpretation:
• Analyze and interpret complex data sets to extract meaningful insights.
• Work closely with business analysts and stakeholders to understand data requirements.
2. SAS Programming:
• Develop, code, test, and maintain SAS programs and scripts for data manipulation, analysis, and reporting.
• Utilize SAS programming techniques to clean, transform, and integrate data from various sources.
3. Report Generation:
• Create and maintain reports using SAS tools for both ad-hoc and scheduled reporting needs.
• Design and develop dashboards and visualizations for effective data presentation.
4. Collaboration:
• Collaborate with data scientists, and data engineers from Hadoop/ Cloudera to integrate SAS solutions to Hadoop.
• Work closely with business users to understand their needs and provide technical support.
5. Documentation:
• Document SAS programs, processes, and workflows for future reference and knowledge transfer.
• Keep documentation up-to-date with changes and enhancements.
6. Performance Optimization:
• Optimize SAS programs for efficiency and performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues in SAS applications.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science.
• Proven experience as a SAS Developer or similar role.
• Proficiency in SAS programming languages and tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and database systems.
• Familiarity with statistical analysis and modeling techniques is a plus.
• Preferred Skills: SAS Certified Base Programmer and/or Advanced Programmer certification, Experience with SAS Enterprise Guide, SAS Studio, and other SAS modules, Knowledge of SQL for data manipulation and extraction.
