• Set clear roles and responsibilities for HR Market Leads, HRBPs, COEs, and People Operations whilst fostering collaboration across the functional teams with a performance-driven and caring culture.
• Be a key driver to develop a strong people-caring culture and contributing to the local society with a strong corporate social responsibility mindset.
• Achieve a strong partnership between local, regional and global teams, while working closely with (and reporting to) the Chief Executive Officer, SEAO, and Chief People Officer, APAC, which will be key to your success!

HOW WILL YOU EXPERIENCE SUCCESS WITH US?

What skills do you need to succeed:

• At least 12 years of working experience in HR, with significant leadership track record in big MNCs - ideally in an international, fast-paced environment (e.g. consumer goods, technology, retail or creative industries with a matrix organization).
• Proven leadership capabilities and create a cohesive team environment in a multi-market sub-region, also in virtual, remote settings.
• An eye for talent and the capability to build and develop talent pipeline.
• Experiences in managing and leading change and in creating and maintaining an agile, digital and modern work environment.
• Knowledge of local labor law and your network of local key stakeholders (government, universities, consultants, etc.)
• Outstanding communication, negotiating and influencing skills.
• Strong business acumen - understanding of the (internal and external) clients and the organization as business manager with a focus to effectively advise on all people aspects.
• Ability to balance between the design & implementation of strategic initiatives, whilst staying hands on with the day-to-day work required to keep the business running smoothly.
• Experience in Coaching, Agility or other working methods is a big plus

You will develop and drive people strategies for Singapore and SEA, covering multiple businesses including TVD, UPI, Networks & DTC and other businesses on site. You will report to Vice President, Human Resources APAC and partner closely with broader HR community as well as business leaders in Singapore and SEA.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategies

• Partnering with senior leaderships teams to develop key people strategies and objectives for the organization, ensuring that the HR initiatives and programs are clearly aligned with business priorities.
• Participate in and be a thoughtful contributor at key senior management meetings and provide HR input for strategic business projects and long-term planning and budgeting processes.

Talent

• Partner with TA team to ensure timely supply of quality talents to meet business needs.
• Play a leading role in key HR processes including talent review, compensation, performance management, talent planning etc.
• Help to identify learning needs, leveraging internal and external resources to deliver learning programs to support development.
• Provide advice to business leaders, managers and employees on all matters related to employee and organizational development.
• Ensure the delivery of corporate training initiatives.
• Partner/collaborate with HR colleagues across NBCUniversal to drive projects and bring initiatives to fruition.

Change Leadership

• Lead organizational change management process in response to business strategies.
• Where required manage HR due diligence and transaction support for M&A or divestment activity, including integration and change management

Employee Relations and Experiences

• Provide HR leadership and coaching to employees and managers regarding employee relations issues. Ensure prompt and effective management of employee relations issues and grievances.
• Offer guidance and counseling to employees and managers concerning work-related issues and work to resolve issues in a proactive and positive manner.
• Manage and communicate HR policies; develop and implement HR practices and procedures aligned to meet the needs of the business. Ensure compliance with relevant local laws.
• Work with leaders and employees to establish and maintain a positive work environment which encourages the full use of the organization’s diverse talents and abilities.
• Create and execute on Employee Survey action plans and engagement and communications activities.
• Ensure HR operational excellence in data management, HR systems, payroll coordination, on-boarding, off-boarding etc. to enable a desired employee experience.

HR Team

• Provide leadership and oversight of daily activities of local HR team.
• Provide coaching and guidance to develop HR team’s capabilities.

Roles & Responsibilities

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

• Support with the preparation of recruitment materials and job posting to appropriate job boards

• Source and recruit candidates by using approved databases, social media, job portals etc.

• Phone / Face to Face screening of resumes and candidates

• Support in the interview process using various reliable recruiting and selection tools/methods to filter candidates within schedule

• Assess applicants’ relevant knowledge, soft/technical skills, experience and aptitudes

• Coordination and administrative (from on-boarding to off-boarding) and updating database.

• Assist in preparing employment contracts, certification letters and other HR related letters.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• Tertiary education in Human Resource, Business Administration or equivalent

• Good interpersonal and communication skills
