About the opportunity:
The Weber Shandwick Office is currently seeking a manager for its healthcare practice.
Job Summary:
- Developing and implementing integrated communications strategies tailored to Singapore, Hong Kong, and Indonesia (Singapore market understanding is critical)
- A strong understanding of the local media landscape (traditional and new), cultural nuances, and communication trends
- Experience managing integrated campaigns and consumer-led campaigns in wellness, healthcare, pharma, and consumer wearables. Experience in healthcare is preferred.
- Agency work experience in Singapore market will be an advantage
Responsibilities:
- Develop culturally relevant content, including articles and social media posts, aligned with the target audience.
- Collaborate with local influencers, experts, and content creators within healthcare and pharmaceutical guidelines and regulations.
- Gather intelligence, insights, local trends, news, and events for timely and relevant content for media campaigns.
- Build and maintain relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers.
- Storytelling support includes media engagement and the development of news hooks and newsjacking opportunities.
- Coordinate and execute public relations activities, events, and media partnerships within the local market.
- Work closely with local industry associations, chambers, and marketing teams to gather insights, events, partnerships, and possibilities.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and digital media trends and insights in healthcare and pharmaceutical industries
- Oversight of accounting and financial operations
Education:
A bachelor's degree is required. An advanced degree in science or business is preferred.
Professional Skills and Experience:
- 4 to 5 years of relevant job experience, including team management, interdisciplinary team involvement, marketing, and/or communications, is required.
- Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and strong presentation skills are required.
