We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Service Manager for our growing electric vehicle (EV) service department. The Service Manager will lead a team responsible for maintaining and servicing our electric vehicle fleet, ensuring customer satisfaction, and achieving service excellence in alignment with the company’s strategic goals. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of EV technologies, excellent leadership abilities, and a deep understanding of the automotive service industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership & Management:

• Lead, train, and develop a team of service technicians, advisors, and support staff to deliver high-quality service and repairs for electric vehicles.
• Foster a positive and productive work environment that promotes teamwork, innovation, and high performance.
• Monitor team performance, provide constructive feedback, and implement training programs to ensure continuous improvement.
  

Customer Service Excellence:

• Oversee day-to-day customer service operations and ensure an exceptional service experience for all clients.

Operations & Process Management:

EV Expertise:

• Stay updated with the latest developments in electric vehicle technology, including battery management, charging infrastructure, and vehicle diagnostics.

Inventory & Parts Management:

• Coordinate with parts and inventory teams to ensure the timely availability of necessary parts and components for EV repairs.
• Oversee inventory control processes to ensure parts are properly stocked, tracked, and managed.
  

Health, Safety, and Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, particularly with regard to the handling of EV batteries and electrical systems.
• Implement and uphold policies regarding workplace safety and environmental standards.
  

Reporting & Budgeting:

• Develop and maintain performance reports on service operations, customer satisfaction, and technician productivity.
• Monitor departmental budget, control costs, and ensure service department profitability.
  

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Automotive Technology, Business Management, or a related field (preferred).
  Certification or training in Electric Vehicle technologies (preferred).
  
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a service management role within the automotive industry, preferably with experience in electric vehicles (EVs).
  In-depth understanding of automotive service operations, repair processes, and diagnostics, particularly for EVs.

Position Overview:

The Key Account Manager (KAM) will play a critical role in managing and nurturing relationships with high-value clients in the commercial and industrial sectors. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the sales, technical specifications, and ongoing support of control panels and switch boxes, ensuring that the products meet the specific needs of clients who rely on these products to manage power distribution for their machinery. The KAM will serve as the main point of contact for key accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction, loyalty, and long-term business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Account Management & Relationship BuildingAct as the primary point of contact for key commercial and industrial accounts, managing all aspects of the relationship from sales to post-sales support.
   Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and fostering repeat business.
   Understand the client’s business goals, challenges, and needs, and offer tailored solutions using the company’s control panels and switch box products.
   
2. Sales Growth & Revenue GenerationDrive sales growth within assigned key accounts by identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional products and services.
   Prepare and present customized proposals and quotations to key clients, ensuring alignment with their technical requirements and budget.
   Negotiate pricing and contractual terms to ensure profitability while maintaining competitive positioning within the industry.
   
3. Customer Retention & SatisfactionEnsure exceptional service delivery and customer satisfaction by overseeing the entire order process, from inquiry to delivery.
   Proactively address any customer concerns or issues, working with internal teams (manufacturing, logistics, technical support) to resolve them promptly.
   Regularly check in with clients to assess their satisfaction and anticipate future needs.
   
4. Collaborative Cross-Functional CoordinationWork closely with the engineering, production, and logistics teams to ensure the technical specifications and project timelines for key accounts are met.

5. Market and Product ExpertiseStay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in control panels, switch boxes, and industrial electrical products to effectively communicate the benefits to clients.
   Provide technical support and guidance to clients, helping them understand product features, capabilities, and applications for their operations.
   
6. Reporting and ForecastingMaintain accurate records of all customer interactions, sales activities, and key account information in the CRM system.
   Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance updates for senior management.
   Set and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for each account, ensuring that objectives are met.
   
7. Contract Negotiation & Renewal ManagementLead contract negotiations with key accounts, ensuring mutually beneficial terms and maintaining positive business relationships.
   Oversee contract renewals, ensuring timely and smooth transitions for ongoing projects and services.
   

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education:
  Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent experience in sales, account management, or technical fields within manufacturing or industrial environments is also acceptable.
• Experience:Minimum of 5 years of experience in account management, sales, or business development, preferably within the manufacturing, electrical, or industrial sectors.
  Proven track record of managing key accounts and delivering sales growth within a B2B environment.
  Experience with control panels, switch boxes, or other electrical distribution systems is highly preferred.
  
• Skills:Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to manage relationships at all levels of an organization.
  Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to craft value-driven proposals.

The Job

1. Accountable for the efficiency and effective operations of the Call Centre, its agents and services.
2. Lead the agents in improving customer service, in terms of service delivery, service attitudes, defined service outcomes, achieving service standards and receiving service awards.
3. Lead in reviewing current practices, reviewing resources, utilizing resources well, set targets for the department, set targets for the staff, report regularly to HOD and manage costs well.
4. Lead in using relevant market information to analyse and propose on new services, new processes to improve work, and new ideas on the use of digital technologies.
5. Leverage on relevant information, data, digital enablers, digital tools, technologies to propose improvements in upscaling and upskilling the Call Centre’s ability to deliver and perform beyond its current means.
6. Ensure staff are recruited, trained, coached and enabled to provide excellent service under any circumstances. Ensure the well-being of all staff.
