PBSG is seeking a Manager/Assistant Manager, Development & Communications to lead strategic communication efforts, elevate our brand, and engage stakeholders effectively. In this role, you will play a key part in shaping PBSG’s narrative, amplifying the impact of our programmes and fundraising initiatives, and managing our digital and social media presence.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategy Development and Execution:

• Develop and implement comprehensive communications and plans that align with PBSG’s mission, vision, and objectives; regularly review; update these strategies based on risk assessments and lessons learned.

• Monitor industry trends and best practices to adapt and enhance communication strategies, including pro-active cultivation and management of media relations to amplify PBSG’s brand through story-telling and public awareness.

• Develop a crisis communication plan that outlines roles, responsibilities and communication protocol with a designated spokesperson from the Media Focus Group to communicate with the media and the public to manage potential reputational risk(s) from negative media coverage, public perception or social media backlash.

2. Digital and Social Media Management

• Oversee and manage PBSG’s digital presence across various platforms including website(s), YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and digital crowdfunding platforms.

• Develop engaging content and campaigns to raise awareness of our programmes and fundraising initiatives.

• Monitor and manage potential risks associated with social media channels where messages have the potential to go viral.

3. Content Creation and Management

• Supervise the creation, writing and editing of communication materials, including Annual Reports, digital fundraising campaigns, website and social media posts, videos, podcasts, presentation materials, letters, speeches, human interest stories, infographics and post-event pages.

• Ensure all content is clear and accurate, consistent with PBSG’s branding and messaging guidelines to avoid any miscommunication.

4. Team Collaboration

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including fundraising, programme/volunteer management, etc to ensure co-ordinated efforts and consistent branding and messaging.

5. Communications Development and Policy Implementation

• Monitor trends to stay updated and leverage emerging communication technologies and platforms such as SEO and SMO to optimise online traffic through site structure and content.

• Develop and implement communication policies, processes, and protocols to maintain PBSG’s positive image and reputation.

6. Performance Measurement and Reporting

• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for communication efforts and regularly track and report on the effectiveness of communication campaigns.

• Analyze data and insights to make data-driven decisions for continuous improvement.

• Supervise Executive staff, subject to experience of candidate and on a need-to basis.

Requirements:

• Degree/Qualifications in MarComms, Journalism/Public Relations, Sociology or related field.
• Ideally 5 years of working experience in a similar role
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Ability to communicate in another local language is a plus.
• Strong storytelling abilities and creativity.
• Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms, including social media, email marketing, and website management (e.g., WordPress).
• Ability to design graphics using various tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or other design software is a plus.
• Video editing skills are a plus.
• Capable of managing multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team for peer influence.
• Resilient and pro-active with strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

• Be at the forefront of our social media presence, partnering with content leads to design, build, and maintain an engaging online community.

• Demonstrate prowess in analytics tools such as Amplify and Google Analytics, utilizing performance insights to optimize digital marketing efforts and maximize impact.

• Cultivate a compelling Public Relations campaign strategy, crafting engaging stories for our brands and campaigns, writing PR releases, and skilfully interacting with the media and organizing media events.

• Keep ahead of big data insights and social trends, offering thought leadership and innovative perspectives on adopting emerging media platforms and technologies.

• Efficiently manage relationships with agencies and vendors for marketing activities, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables.

• Brief our design team on non-digital collateral development and oversee the production process to ensure seamless project delivery.

• Exhibit financial acumen by managing allocated budgets with clear trackable deliverables and performance measurements.

• Uphold the company's corporate governance, workplace practices, and code of conduct, ensuring compliance with workplace safety and health regulations, especially for events and roadshows.

• Embrace additional duties reasonably assigned by management, showcasing your adaptability and commitment to excellence.

Job Requirements:

• Proven track record in digital marketing, with a strong grasp of website analytics, digital ad serving tools, and familiarity with digital media consumption habits on platforms like Facebook, Instagram and Tiktok.

• Enthusiastic learner (including the area of Generative AI), self-motivated, and adept at thriving within tight deadlines and high-pressure environments.

• Outstanding team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, fostering collaboration and synergy.

• Possess a keen eye for detail, ensuring meticulousness in all endeavours.

• Demonstrate maturity, resourcefulness, and the ability to think strategically.

• Showcase exceptional written and verbal communication skills, adept at conveying impactful messages

• Good experience into B2C industry

• Prior working experience with marketing agency would be added advantage

Roles and Responsibilities

· Determines project schedule by studying project plan and specifications, time requirements; sequencing project elements.

· Project costs management by expenditures; contracts terms and conditions

· Progress payment submitted by the contractors/ suppliers

· Check and analyse project/ building cost versus budget

· Prepares project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends; recommends actions.

· Group finance system implementation

· Any other duties assigned from time to time.

Job Requirements

· Bachelor's Degree/ Diploma in Finance with 3 - 5 years related work experience in construction/ building/ project work sector

· Meticulous, well organised, able to work independently and problem-solving skills.

· Team oriented, deadline driven and with a sense of responsibility

· Project management, Microsoft Office (eg. Excel and WORD)

· Good communication and interpersonal skills

· Self-initiative individual who is able to multi-task and work in a fast-pace environment
