This position requires in-depth technical understanding and rich practical experience in data security, risk mitigation technology, and R&D engineering. Through the R&D, integration, and implementation of data security engineering, we will implement a data security operation platform for supporting data security operations, privacy and compliance teams to identify, assess, and mitigate risks. This is an individual contributor role responsible for solving problems and taking a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions. Essential Functions:

• This position is responsible for day-to-day operational management  of network security appliances such as firewalls , proxy systems ,DDoS protections etc.

• Primary responsibilities includes, updating firewall rules/policies to meet customer requirements, validating that user requests do not allow unauthorized network access, firewall log analysis, troubleshooting network connectivity problem via use of packet captures using packet capture technologies.

• Having broad knowledge of information security , understanding application ,data , threats and mitigation , and security trends. 

• Troubleshooting firewall fault conditions and coordinating firewall rebuild efforts.

• Coordinates with the Security Operations Center to proactively defend against the known exploits and vulnerabilities.

• Configures internet proxy servers to restrict corporate internet access to support the company's acceptable use policy.

The Network & Security Engineer will provide centralized technical support in network, cybersecurity, and server-related areas. The role requires expertise in Checkpoint Firewall and a strong understanding of Cisco switching and routing. The engineer will ensure operational excellence and meet service level agreements (SLAs) through efficient fault handling, preventive maintenance, and technical escalation processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in 24x7 maintenance standby duty on a rotational basis as assigned by the team lead.
• Ensure all fault cases are resolved within SLA requirements.
• Escalate issues beyond the knowledge of L1/L2 engineers to higher support levels.
• Attend to daily call assignments during office hours when not on standby duty.
• Perform weekend or after-hours duty when required, even if not on standby.
• Conduct preventive maintenance activities, including hardware inventory and checks.
• Address any discrepancies or faults identified during maintenance.
• Manage and follow up on cases from initiation to closure.
• Ensure incident tickets are updated accurately and promptly throughout the resolution process.
• Acquire necessary certifications to support key customer requirements.
• Train and mentor L1/L2 engineers on core competencies such as firewalls or legacy systems.
• Undertake new assignments as directed by the Operations Manager or Team Service Manager (TSM).
• Contribute to technical support improvement initiatives and provide feedback to enhance processes.

• Strong troubleshooting skills in network, cybersecurity, and server systems.
• Ability to handle high-pressure situations and manage escalations effectively.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills for cross-functional collaboration.
