Minimum Qualification: Degree in Chemical Engineering.

5 to 8 years of experience of leading a team of engineers in the field of electronic materials technology within a specialty chemical plant.

Job duties and Responsibilities
A. Process Improvement
- Lead and instruct in-process studies, experiments such as products and materials testing and conduct analysis in order to improve process. (Expected to utilize skill of chemical engineering and powder technology.)
- Analyse, determine and propose potential improvements proposed by subordinates.
- Liaise with Mother Plant in Japan for process improvement and technology transfer.
B. Process Control
- Monitor plant equipment and overall plant system to keep and maintain them in good condition, contributing to healthy and smooth output of the plant.
- Liaise with relevant departments (Production/ Maintenance) to rectify quality, process or machinery issues that affect manufacturing or quality.
C. Handling of Customer Requests
- Coordinate with Production, QC and Maintenance to take corrective action or implement improvements to plant equipment, manufacturing processes, measurement and evaluation methods based on customer demands and requirements.
- Coordinate with Technical Centre and Mother Plant in Japan to answer technical queries from customers regarding the performance of our products, or develop new product grades as requested.

- Influence, motivate and develop others in achieving mission of the organization.
- Set goals voluntarily that will support mission of the organization and strive hard to achieve decided goals.
Others
Basic proficiency in Japanese language would be advanteageous for regular communication with the Japan headquarters.
