We are looking for a Software Development Engineer who will be responsible for developing high-quality software solutions that meet business needs.

Your work will be pivotal in shaping the technical direction of the projects you are involved in and in mentoring junior team members to improve their skills.

You will work directly with the Senior Software Development Engineer, who you will assist to manage the software design and development of all the product develop by the company or our contract manufacturer.

JOB SCOPE

Software Design and Development:

• Lead the design and implementation of complex software features or systems.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in programming languages such as C#, C++, Python, or others as appropriate.

Code Review and Mentorship:

Testing and Quality Assurance:

• Develop unit tests, integration tests and other automated testing procedures to ensure software quality.
• Participate in continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement:

• Stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends, frameworks, and development tools.
• Propose new ideas and techniques to improve software development processes and product quality.

Documentation:

• Document software design, implementation details, and testing procedures.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for internal and external use.

QUALIFICATIONS

Technical Skills:

• Proficient in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, C#, or JavaScript.
• Solid understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.).
• Strong experience in object-oriented design and design patterns.
• Knowledge of databases (SQL, NoSQL) and data modeling.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with version control systems like Git.
• Experience with performance tuning and optimization of software systems.

Experience:

• 3+ years of experience in software development.

You will be part of a data team deployed at a government agency identified as a strategic partner for GovTech, building out data products critical to WOG’s ops and service delivery as identified under the Digital Government Blueprint (DGB2.0) programme. You would operate in close alignment to Data and AI Practice's approach and philosophy, and would be closely supported by central GovTech products and platforms teams. We are seeking an experienced Geospatial Specialist to join our Modelling and Simulation (M&S) practice, which aims at spurring innovative geospatial systems and solutions for Whole-of-Government (WoG). M&S Cluster is currently leading Technology Transformation and Digitalisation effort using GIS in partnership with agencies technical team, IHLs and industry partners.

As a GIS Specialist, you will collaborate with a team of talented GIS architects and consultants who are passionate about emerging technologies, and the use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to drive WoG geospatial projects. This role includes managing the entire project lifecycle from strategic planning to technical activities, including undertaking the requisite transformational and change management efforts to ensure a successful implementation.

• Provide Geospatial IT Consulting Services to government agencies, including:

Role description
Working as part of a Category team that operates as part of an overall Global Technology Sourcing team. Making an ongoing, tangible contribution to cost efficiency and commercial/contractual risk management, through:

• Supporting the Global Sourcing Category Lead – Network and Infrastructure in developing the overall spend category strategy in partnership with key stakeholders and managing the effective delivery of that strategy

Responsibilities:

• Assess the creditworthiness of loan applicants by analyzing their financial statements, credit history, and collateral value.

• Conduct detailed credit analyses to evaluate borrowers' ability to repay loans and determine appropriate loan terms and conditions.

• Review loan applications and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established lending guidelines.

• Analyze financial data, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and tax returns, to assess applicants' financial stability.

• Verify applicant information and perform credit checks using internal and external sources.

• Collaborate with loan officers and underwriters to gather additional information and clarify any credit-related issues.

• Prepare comprehensive credit reports and present findings to management for loan approval or rejection decisions.

• Evaluate collateral valuation reports and assess the adequacy of collateral coverage.

• Monitor loan portfolios to identify early signs of credit deterioration, assess risk ratings, and recommend appropriate remedial actions.

• Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes affecting the auto finance industry.

• Ensure compliance with internal credit policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

• Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and collections, to address credit-related concerns and provide guidance.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date credit files and documentation.

• Provide support during loan audits, examinations, and regulatory reviews.

• Assist in the development and enhancement of credit risk assessment models and tools.

• Participate in credit committee meetings and provide insights on credit-related matters.

• Continuously improve credit analysis processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

• Proven experience as a Credit Officer or in a similar credit analysis role, preferably in the auto finance industry or financial services sector.

• Strong understanding of credit risk assessment, financial statement analysis, and lending principles.

• Familiarity with credit analysis tools, techniques, and credit scoring models.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to make sound credit decisions and recommendations.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong ethics and integrity.

• Proficiency in using financial analysis software and MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with team members (developers, product manager, customer support, and partners) to develop, test and deliver high quality products.
• Prevent, collect, analyze and track product defects.
• Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases.
• Manage project dependencies and risk mitigation.

Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years​ experience in automation testing development.
• Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Experience in testing Webservice/Restful APIs and have a certain understanding of commonly used databases like MySQL.
• Good programming skills, hands on with at least one of the following languages: Java, Javascript, Python.
• Solid analytical and trouble-shooting skills.
• Good understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodologies as well as using collaboration tools, such as Jira, Trello, Slack, etc.
• Excellent interpersonal coordination and communication skills.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently as well as work as a team.
• Good exposure in a distributed/remote working environment.
• Enjoys breaking things and solving problems - not just able to find out the 'what', but also the 'why'.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience on performance testing is a plus.
• Experience with automation build up.
• Skilled use of at least one source code management tool: SVN, Git, etc.
