Job Title: R&D Engineer - Electrolyte (Battery Material Research Division)

Overview:
We are seeking dedicated R&D Engineers specializing in electrolyte development to join our dynamic Battery Material Research Division. This role focuses on advancing high silicon-based projects, optimizing electrolytes for high-voltage, high-power, and high-safety applications, particularly in the realm of solid-state battery technology.
Key Responsibilities:
Ā· Electrolyte Formulation: Lead and contribute to the development and optimization of electrolyte formulations tailored for high silicon-based battery projects, emphasizing enhanced performance, safety, and stability.
Ā· Integration of Silicon Anodes: Collaborate within multidisciplinary teams to effectively integrate high-capacity silicon anodes into battery systems, addressing challenges related to volume expansion, cycling stability, and interface engineering.
Ā· Experimental Design and Analysis: Design and execute experiments using coin and pouch cell configurations to evaluate and iterate on electrolyte performance. Analyze data to inform the enhancement of battery characteristics.
Ā· Collaborative Research Initiatives: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including materials scientists, physicists, and mechanical engineers, to drive innovation in battery technology. Contribute actively to the advancement of solid-state battery research.
Ā· Documentation and Reporting: Maintain meticulous records of experimental procedures, results, and analysis. Prepare technical reports and presentations contributing to scientific publications or patents.
Requirements:
Ā· Bachelor's degree or higher in Material Science, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.
Ā· Proficiency in electrolyte chemistry and its significance in battery performance.
Ā· Strong grasp of battery materials, with a focus on high silicon-based projects.
Ā· Prior experience or demonstrable skills in experimental design and hands-on work with coin or pouch cell fabrication and testing.
Preferred Skills:
Ā· Prior exposure in Project & R&D laboratory setting
Ā· Experience or exposure to solid-state battery technology and solid electrolytes.
Ā· Familiarity with software tools for data analysis and simulation in battery research.
Ā· Any prior experience in industrial R&D, especially in battery or energy storage-related projects, would be advantageous.
Ā· Knowledge or exposure to characterization techniques (e.g., impedance spectroscopy, SEM, TEM, X-ray techniques) is advantageous but not mandatory.
