We are seeking a highly motivated research assistant with a strong mathematical background who is interested to explore new research directions in neuro-symbolic methods, specifically on the interplay between deep learning and symbolic reasoning. • Designs, sets-up and performs a variety of machining tasks according to customer specifications and requirements
• Possesses the ability to mentor and train machinists who have less experience through effective communication of machining process and technical data
• Ability to transfer technical knowledge of machining procedures/requirements and successfully satisfy and meet customer expectations
• Maintains equipment and schedules preventative maintenance and records dimensions in accordance with quality assurance requirements

Job Description:

• Working knowledge of laboratory safety and possess in-depth understanding of specimen preparation
• Must possess Diploma or any relevant Certifications with a minimum 2 years of working experience
• Depth of understanding related to machining concepts, measuring instruments and dimensional concepts
• Working knowledge of machine shop safety protocol
• Lifting requirements: lifting <50 lbs. often and > 50 lbs. on occasion
• Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time
