Security Officer (SO) – Ensuring Safety and Vigilance

Are you passionate about safeguarding people and property? Join our team as a Security Officer and play a vital role in maintaining a secure environment for all stakeholders. Reporting to the Security Supervisor and Operations Manager, you’ll be responsible for the safety and well-being of staff, residents, visitors, and contractors.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Adherence to SOPs: Strictly follow security Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and preventive measures at all times.
2. Operational Duties: Perform daily tasks, including patrolling, escorting, traffic control, and static duties (such as security checks and visitor registration).
3. System Monitoring: Keep a watchful eye on security systems, including CCTV and fire alarms, ensuring prompt response to any anomalies.
4. Observation and Reporting: Report suspicious behavior, unauthorized removal of property, criminal acts, safety hazards, and accidents promptly.
5. Emergency Preparedness: Be prepared for evacuations and emergencies.
6. Additional Duties: Assist as needed, following instructions from senior staff.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and direct the day-to-day operations of IT services;
• Manage outsourced vendors and in-housed contractors to meet the delivery and operation needs of IT services;
• Manage change request, service request and production support issues and ensure service levels are met;
• Review system designs and technical specifications to ensure all requirements are captured to meet system objectives
• Review post-production issues and identify root cause and work with vendors on preventive measures;
• Plan, execute and support system implementation, software/hardware upgrades and security patches;
• Manage the verification of software patches and upgrades for applications;
• Measure, monitor and continuously improve performances of IT services;

Requirements:

• At least 3 years of relevant experience in application production support on Java and .NET applications in both Unix and Windows operating environments;
• Bachelor or higher degree in IT or equivalent
• Certification or formal training in ITIL will be an added advantage
• Excellent technical troubleshooting skills;
• Experience in incident management, problem management, release management, root cause analysis and deployment;
• Familiarity with databases (e.g. Oracle, Microsoft SQL) and application servers (e.g. IIS, WebSphere Application Server);
• Good organization skills and able to work with minimal supervision in a rapidly changing environment;
• Knowledge of web languages (e.g. HTML/CSS, JavaScript);
• Positive attitude and able to work under pressure;
• Possess strong information acquisition, analytical and problem solving skills;
• Self-driven, creative and team-oriented person with good interpersonal skills;
• Sound understanding of the technical aspects of systems integration in an environment with diverse technology;
• Strong communication skills and ability to influence to gain consensus from multiple stakeholders when required;
• Understand SDLC and experience working with business users, various IT teams and vendors;
