• Prepare cost estimates for project enquiries from the Single Line Diagrams, Layout, Control Diagrams and Specifications.
• Able to create appropriate costing estimates based on written and verbal specifications obtained from supervisor and project enquiry.
• Work closely with Engineering Department to ensure co-ordination design effort is maintained.
• Prepare Schedule of Rate and Technical Data Sheet.
• Check estimates for completeness and accuracy and maintain all revisions of estimates.
• Input quotation enquiries into system, filing technical data, schedule of rates and documents accordingly.
• Perform any other ad-hoc duties.

Requirements

• Diploma/NITEC in Electrical Engineering or minimum 1 year experience in costing.
• Able to read Single-Line drawings (electrical).
• In-house training provided for costing skills.
• Independent and self-motivated.
• Able to work under tight schedule, work over-time if required

Responsibilities

• Develop and prepare design sketches from customer drawings, sketches, engineering calculations, specification sheets and other data.
• Check and verify design drawings to comply with customer specifications and design data.
• Work closely with Sales/Project and Engineering department to ensure coordination design effort is maintained.
• Review final production drawings for precision and comply with establisehed electrical standards and regulations.
• Confirm Material Requisition Order against production drawings.
• Assist M&E consultant and contractor in design for site modification, alteration and addition works.
