As a Full Stack Developer at Astek, you will play a key role in supporting the platform layer that centralizes and abstracts infrastructure challenges, providing developers with powerful tools for building and deploying GenAI applications securely.

You will collaborate with developers and business users to ensure the platform meets the AI needs of the organization and provides a seamless and efficient developer experience (DX).

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with developers, business users, and product teams to ensure the platform meets both functional and performance requirements.

Requirements

• A degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in software development.
• Front-End Development: ReactJS (preferred) or equivalent frameworks.
• Back-End Development: Python (FastAPI preferred) and/or NodeJS (NextJS a plus).
• SDK Development: Python (Poetry).
• Infrastructure & Platform: Experience with Terraform, AWS Cloud, Kubernetes (K8s), or other equivalent container technologies.
• System Design & Testing: Hands-on experience in system/software design and automated software testing (with GitHub Actions or similar CI/CD pipelines).
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze complex technical challenges.
• Ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• A strong understanding of platform security and best practices for cloud-native applications.

Job Description

• Provides day-to-day application support for reported production issues and resolve within the
• stipulated Service Level Agreement (SLA) as per classified severity; not limiting to the following:

- Knowing and understanding the issue,

- Investigate and perform analysis to determine root cause(s),

- Provide corrective a nd preventive solution,

- If required, escalate case to L3 or technical support for further investigations,

- Ensure successful and timely completion of application batch jobs,

- Propose improvements to address recurring issues and

- Close monitoring gaps.

• Support implementation of changes in accordance with the standard operation procedures to ensure smooth rollouts / deployments,
• Identify opportunities for automation to minimize manual task and
• Provides after office hours standby duty support where allowances, off-in-lieu or equivalent will be given as per required:

- One week of standby duty for every one to two months,

- Ad-hoc activation to be onsite for urgent production issues and

- There may also be occasions whereby support duties are required outside of working hours /

public holidays for a short-term basis upon clients’ requests.

Requirements

• Minimum Diploma in IT related discipline
• 1 year or more working experience in IT industry
• Strong problem investigation and solving skills,
• Has an analytical mindset and able to understand business and functional concepts,
• Proactive and self-driven and able to work under pressure with a high sense of urgency,
• Basic knowledge of Java programming and has some hands-on coding experience,
• Possess SQL knowledge and able to construct basic SQL queries,

Job Description

• Guide the Scrum or equivalent team (including any subcontractors that may be engaged to be part of the agile development team using Scrum or equivalent), to ensure that the deliverables are in accordance with the Epic/User Stories.
• Ensure all Scrum events take place and kept within the timebox.
• Facilitate discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution.
• Remove impediments for the Scrum team or equivalent team.
• Coach the Scrum team or equivalent team on Agile practices and values.
• Ensure the proper use of collaborative processes.
• Ensure that all review discussions are recorded and agreed with the stakeholders so that there is proper-recorded trace of decisions made by the Scrum or equivalent team.
• Ensure that there is consistency and uniformity in the different work produced by Scrum team or equivalent team.
• Ensure that confidentiality and security is observed throughout.
• Maintain records of all development and maintenance activities including proper accounting and administrative records of all services performed during the Project Period.
• Prepare and present status reports to stakeholders.
• Prepare necessary report artifacts required by the governance team.

Requirements

• At least three (3) years of experience as a Scrum Master or equivalent in Agile projects.
• First Level Scrum Master Certification (CSM, PSM 1, or equivalent).
• For the avoidance of doubt, the role of a Scrum Master is not the traditional Project Manager, but a facilitator of Scrum processes. Therefore, the Scrum Master must have a good understanding of the Scrum framework and the ability to coach in its subtleties.
• Completed projects or deployed systems of large scope and scale. Scrum Master with the relevant domain knowledge is preferred.
• Good knowledge of the full stack development process.
• Knowledge of Business Analysis.
• Good facilitation, coaching, planning, and management skills.
• Good communication skills in English.
