Group Technology and Operations (T&O) enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability and innovation. In Group T&O, we manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels.

Responsibilities

• Providing strategic directions for standardizing of Secure Network Operations Centre (SNOC) monitoring and efficient use of resources for pro-active application/infrastructure monitoring.
• Identifying areas for improvement in SNOC communications with other Incident/Problem management, Application/Infrastructure SMEs etc.
• Overseeing creation and availability of SNOC monitoring metrics and alerts’ reports for management reporting.
• Reviewing completeness and correctness of SNOC monitoring metrics and alerts.
• Establishing measurements and track improvement for SNOC monitoring effectiveness and efficiency.
• Acting as an escalation focal point for all improvement activities involving SNOC
• Supervise and manage a team of service providers to ensure delivery of quality infrastructure services by engaged vendors to the Bank.
• Work effectively and closely with vendor Delivery Managers and technical support staff, regulators, other IT groups such as infrastructure & applications, architecture & engineering, GPS, Finance, internal and external auditors.
• Ability to work closely with various line of business technologies from junior to management level.
• Change governance on all the monitoring changes for production implementation
• Perform on call duty on rotation basis.

Requirements

• Excellent communication and organizational skills and able to work with little or no supervision.
• Minimum Degree holder in Computer Science.
• Minimum 5 years IT experience in a bank. In-depth knowledge of application or infrastructure monitoring systems in multi-platforms environment will be an added advantage.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Scripting and web development.
• Experience in Shell, python and Perl scripts is must.
• Experience in Automation and web reports using AJAX, HTML and JS Framework.
• Experience with various monitoring tools like IBM ITM Tivoli, Netcool, Zabbix and Elastic Search, etc.
• Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
• Excellent team player and strong interpersonal skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
• Proactive and able to work under pressure.

Job Description

SIMTech is looking for a highly motivated, quick learner with excellent interpersonal skills to join Additive Technology Innovation (ATI) Group. The successful candidate will have opportunities to participate in research and industry projects in additive manufacturing (AM) and be involved in a highly challenging and dynamic research and development environment by working with scientists and engineers. The lab officer’s responsibilities include sample preparation, characterization, measurement, and mechanical testing. The lab officer also supports group’s research activities through procurement, equipment maintenance, risks assessments, including:

• Hand-on work such as preparing, operating and unpacking AM printers.
• Perform material testing, sample preparation, dimensional measurements, surface quality inspection, microstructure & defects analysis.
• Tracking and managing lab and group’s resource utilization, procurement, and delivery.
• Storage space management and optimization.
• Ensure high operational readiness by liaising with vendors to troubleshooting breakdowns preventive maintenance, and repairs.
• Facilitating mechanical and electrical installations for new equipment.
• Assist in lab equipment operation, collection of process data and analysis of results.
• Secondary roles related to health, safety, environment, and procurement to manage the Risk Assessment (RA), Standard Working Procedures (SWP), Permit to Work (PTW), and chemical purchasing and storage.
• Identify and recommend improvement measurements to ensuring high quality in lab safety and 5S standards.

Job Objectives

- Manage and work with stakeholders during all phases of system changes delivery

- Coordinate and plan with Infra and change management teams for application deployment activities in Devops environment.

- Setup and maintain application Infrastructure in Unix, Windows and Oracle environment

- Effect system changes into test and production environments by following application change implementation process via the Bitbucket, Jenkins and Aldon change management tools

- Conduct technical delivery/process knowledge and best practices sharing/training sessions with internal teams to raise teams competency level.

Key Requirements

- At least 4 years of Anti Money Laundering system enhancements for Transaction Monitoring delivery experience in the banking industry

- Experience in leading, with good results, design gathering and design workshops with users as part of change delivery or defects fixes work

- Strong Oracle SQL and PL/SQL design and development skills

- Proven and strong vendor management capability

- Good application design Operational impact awareness

- More than 9 years of total IT industry experience
