We are looking for a Desktop Support Engineer with expertise in Hardware Support in Desktop Systems, Mobile Devices and IPT. You will be part of the Client Services On-Site Delivery (OSD) team within Core Engineering that provides on-site technical support for internal business users, covering workplace systems, hardware, and multimedia support. The role involves hardware lifecycle management, infrastructure build-out, troubleshooting, and multimedia event support, with occasional data center services, cabling, and patching in regional offices.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide on-site support for workplace hardware and software, including desktop systems, mobile devices, and IPT.
• Handle hardware setup, provisioning, and lifecycle management, including inventory scanning and disposal.
• Offer second-level support for internal users and high-touch support for Platinum users.
• Perform Move, Add, Change (MAC) tasks, power-down execution, and BCP site maintenance.
• Troubleshoot Windows 10/11 systems, desktop builds, and software distribution processes.
• Document and update procedures, ensuring clarity and accessibility.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on workplace-related projects and pilot testing.
• Manage vendor coordination for project and operational needs.

Skills and Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of desktop hardware, telecom, multimedia, and mobile devices (e.g., BlackBerry).
• Expertise in Windows 10/11 troubleshooting and software distribution processes.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to engage with end users and offshore teams.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, track multiple assignments, and escalate issues when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with product development team to design and implement digital logic on FPGA/MCU for system control and interface
• Writing of HDL code (Verilog, VHDL), creating circuits diagrams with Electronics hardware engineer and programming of FPGA/MCU devices
• Debugging, testing and validating on design and software
• Maintain FPGA/MCU/Firmware development documentation
• Perform other related duties

Key Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Computer Engineering
• Experience in FPGA hardware (Xilinx or Altera)
• Knowledge of HDL code like Verilog or VHDL
• Experience in digital design and embedded software is a plus
• Familiar with C/C++
• Familiar with communication protocol like RS-232/RS-485, Devicenet, Profi-Bus, EtherCat is a plus

Test Manager role

1. Assist product owner / UAT lead to prepare Test Strategy and Test Plan.

2. Identify potential issues and risks and gap.

3. Assist UAT lead to run testing kick-off and regular cadence meeting.

4. Review test scenarios and cases with key product owners to meet requirements and expectations.

5. Document acceptance criteria for product owners sign-off.

6. Coordinating with upstream/downstream teams to facilitate testing.

7. Actively manage UAT progress and issues within project timelines and to update business team and key stakeholders. Create, maintain and facilitate UAT status using JIRA dashboard for status updating.

8. Maintain JIRA dashboard during testing execution and ensure traceability among test case, user story, and defects.

9. Liaise with technology teams on system solutions, UAT delivery timeline, UAT environment readiness and test data creation.

10. Defect Management

a) Actively track UAT defect pool to ensure timely closure.

b) Analyse and summarize outstanding defects on a need basis.
