Technology & Systems Department

The Technology & Systems department drives technological innovation for the company and advances the technology strategy to support global growth. This includes IT, Software Development, OT / Automation Systems, and business process improvement. At Vantage, we are very hands on. In most cases, we specify, purchase, configure and maintain all networking and server hardware. We also work closely with partner VARs to learn about the latest technology changes so we can make informed purchase decisions. The Technology & Systems department participates in designing each of our new data center building’s networking infrastructure, including but not limited to diverse pathways connecting to carriers, meet-me room (MMR) hosting (rack, cabs, ladders, cross connect panels…), wireless AP coverage, etc.

Essential Job Functions

• Manage, support and maintain Vantage IT infrastructure
• Manage VMware/Hyper-v virtual environment with Dell SAN and Vsan Technology.
• Setup and configure Windows and Linux Servers in VMware virtual environment
• Experience managing Internal and External (Windows DNS, Godaddy, Bind 9, CSC)

In this role, a typical day will include:

· 1st level engineering support for major equipment downtime [24x7 supports]

· Focus on solving recurring/ long-term equipment issues through detailed understanding of the design or engineering concepts.

· Maintain and perform routine check and backup/restore for Industrial PCs/ PLCs.

· Lead and support automation/control related projects. Develop/review project documentations and related SOPs. Perform equipment/software validation.

· Prepare training materials on respective process/ system/ equipment in term of operation, maintenance or troubleshooting.

· Innovate, provide and implement ideas for process or equipment improvement.

· Ensure the system/equipment are comply with HSE, and Alcon quality requirement

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:

· Minimum 0-3 years of intensive hands on experiences in technical (Electrical/ Mechatronic /Electronic/Physics/ Automation) troubleshooting and experience on Siemens S7/TIA Portal, Beckhoff TwinCAT and/or Allen Bradley PLC.

· Experience on factory automation system installation/validation and understanding of GMP/GDP requirement.

Roles & Responsibilities

Job Description:

• Handle project planning, scheduling, monitoring and updating to meet project completion targets
• Perform site planning, coordination and inspection relating to the construction project so as to ensure that project completion timeline, requirements and budget are met
• Liaise with the BIM team to update the drawings or BIM Model with the latest information available timely
• Prepare as-built drawings or BIM Model and compile O&M Manual for submission
• To assist in project coordination and oversee of all Civil and Structural works on site and ensure all related activities are carried out as per drawings
• Review architectural & structural submission documents & submission drawings prior relevant authorities' submission
• Assist the Project team in site walk-down survey with other discipline engineers and Client representatives as required, in resolving technical issues until construction completion
• Liaise with internal and external parties for project management
• Any ad-hoc duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience
• Recognized Degree in Civil Engineering, Project Management, Structural Engineering or equivalent approved by PEB, BOA or SISV
• Good knowledge of technical design and engineering, construction methodology and construction planning
• Good oral, written and inter-personal communications skills in dealing with individuals and groups at all levels
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and knowledge of BIM
• Independent, diligent, highly motivated with excellent team spirit and cope in a fast-paced environment
• Obtain CONQUAS supervisor certificate will be added advantage

Key Responsibilities:

· Manage and direct the day-to-day operations of IT services

· Manage outsourced vendors and in-housed contractors to meet the delivery and operation needs of IT services

· Manage change request, service request and production support issues and ensure service levels are met

· Review system designs and technical specifications to ensure all requirements are captured to meet system objectives

· Review post production issues and identify root cause and work with vendors on preventive measures

· Plan, execute and support system implementation, software/hardware upgrades and security patches

· Manage the verification of software patches and upgrades for applications

· Measure, monitor and continuously improve performances of IT service

The Talent:

· Bachelor or higher Degree in IT or equivalent

· At least 5-8 years of relevant experience in application production support on Java and .NET applications in both Unix and Windows operating environments

· Experience in incident management, problem management, release management, root cause analysis and deployment

· Understand SDLC and experience working with business users, various IT teams and vendors

· Knowledge of web languages (e.g. HTML/CSS, JavaScript)

· Experience with .NET Core

· Familiarity with databases (e.g. Oracle, Microsoft SQL) and application servers (e.g. IIS,WebSphere Application Server)

· Prior experience working as a Systems Analyst for a Government organization will be a big plus

· Sound understanding of the technical aspects of systems integration in an environment with diverse technology

· Strong communication skills and ability to influence to gain consensus from multiple stakeholders when required

· Possess strong information acquisition, analytical and problem solving skills

· Good organization skills and able to work with minimal supervision in a rapidly changing

environment
