Responsibilities

• Coordinate and Plan Engineering Resources to support operations on day-to-day matters including technical enquiry, engine testing troubleshooting and out of scope repair instructions development.
• Manage engine investigation and teardown review including preparation of relevant reports.
• Perform engine performance and parts analysis to improve engine build standards.
• Review Customer’s requirements and recommend engine work scope to optimize engine on-wing life.
• Perform engine parts inspection and scrap parts review.
• Review and implement recommendations of Technical Publications (e.g. SBs, TSB, SCETI, Action Items etc).
• Communicate with home office Service Center Engineering (Montreal) for technical advice and instructions.
• Spearhead initiatives in reducing cost of poor quality/ test reject and share best practices within the network.
• Lead in Quality Improvements Activities (e.g. ACE, CAR & RRCA).
• Provide technical assistance to operation on high technical intensity/ complex shop equipment i.e. CMM.
• Leading and support process and product improvement projects.
• Responsible for identifying and maintaining a safe workplace.

Requirements

• Degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Possess 3 to 5 years of technical experience with strong understanding of Aerospace Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul business.
• Experienced in leading aero-engine troubleshooting and investigation is preferred.
• Strong customer focused and analytical skills for problem solving,
• Strong team player who is self-motivated and pro-active,
• Possess a good track record in continuous improvement project,

Responsibilities:

• Support global NPI (New Product Introduction) on product design and development.
• Prepare drawing proposal and tooling design.
• Conduct tooling buy-off and hands-on tooling setup.
• Initiate and conduct the improvement project evaluation.
• Liaise with customer on design requirement and alignment.
• Liaise with factory on capability compliance.
• Responsible on tooling expenses and cost control.
• Overseas travelling may be required.

Requirements:

• Min. Diploma in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Proficient in using Solidworks software.
• Preferably with working knowledge and experience in taping machine, laser mark, jig & fixtures design.
• Positive attitude and self-motivated.

Core Responsibilities:

• To perform quality assurance functions with regard to the product (jet engine components), process and maintain quality management system while ensuring compliance with all related government agencies, aviation authorities and customers’ requirements and regulations.
• Establish quality procedures and quality control instructions.
• Liaise with customers / vendors / suppliers on non-conformance activities, perform root cause analysis and determine effective corrective actions to reduce or eliminate the cost of poor quality.
• Perform internal audits to evaluate quality system, products and processes (ISO9001 / AS9100 / NADCAP).
• Perform vendors’ and on-site audits as required.
• Uphold customers’ and regulatory authorities’ requirements.
• To carry-out other QA functions as required.

Qualifications:

• At least 2-3 years’ of relevant experience in Aerospace QA environment.
• Good analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Meticulous attention to details, able to multi-task and commit to job.
• Familiar with ISO9001 / AS9100 Quality Management System requirements.
• Experience in using problem-solving tools including fishbone diagrams, FMEA and 5-whys methodology.
• Able to interact effectively with other functional departments such as Engineering and Production to resolve issues relating to products and processes.
• Familiarity with audit covering special processes including heat treatment, plasma coating, NDT would be a plus
• Experience in metallurgical laboratory evaluations would be advantageous
