The dedicated Professional Services Network Engineer/Resident Engineer is assigned to the end user full time basis for the duration of upto 12 months initially. The engineer will be required onsite during the engagement. He/she will work with the end user to define the specific daily activities, which include but are not limited to the following:
- Assists the Customer during the Think and Build phases & of a project & Subsequent operations phase
- Develops and maintains technical project documentation: high/low level design documentation, method of procedure, test plans, configuration templates and scripts
- Provisions, customizes and verifies Firewall configurations based on recommended and approved design
- Tests Fortinet & other security vendor solutions and verifies system behaviour
- Participates to interoperability/integration testing of devices that interact with network security products
- Recommends and implements best practices
- Assists and advises on the management of the Firewalls using FortiManager
- Resolves and/or escalates technical issues in a timely fashion
- Delivers general knowledge transfer to client staff
- Develops and maintains core competency on vendor product lines and technologies
- Assists and advises on scripting to ease/streamline operations activities
Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in LAN/WAN/Network Security Products
- Hands on experience with Fortinet Firewalls is mandatory
- Hands on experience with FortiManager is mandatory
- Hands on Networking projects experience in Banking environment
- Hands on experience with designing and implementing & operations of FortiGate solutions (design, implementation & migration, operations ) or major 3rd party security solutions
- Professional Certification in Fortinet Network Security Professional (NSE 4) and Professional Certification in Fortinet Network Security Architect (NSE 7) is an advantage
- Excellent communication and technical documentation skills.
- Experience in scripting
- Proven ability to work independently as well as in a team in a collaborative environment
- Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including management, clients, and other departments.
- Positive customer service attitude with excellent soft skills
- Bachelor's Degree in technical or management discipline and/or equivalent extensive work-related experience.
