Job Description

The software support engineer is responsible for providing technical support with the Pre-deployment setup and post-deployment support from end-users in Hospitals, Nursing homes or other healthcare institutions.

• Assist with Pre-Deployment setup; preparation of device software after hardware assembly.
• Perform Software Updates to operational devices whenever needed.
• Perform diagnosis, and troubleshooting of technical issues.
• Provide Technical support (L1/L2) to users. There will be occasional need to respond to system issues beyond working hours on a 24/7 basis

Job Requirements

• Experience with working in Linux OS environment.
• Knowledge in working with Edge devices and peripherals (e.g: Bluetooth, Wi-Fi technology, Device Networking, etc.)
• Programming skills preferred (Bash scripting, Python, C++).

As a Senior Embedded Software Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing and developing the embedded Linux software that drives the unique line of proprietary

devices.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and Enhance Embedded Systems: Implement new features and modifications to Embedded Operating Systems, ensuring they meet product requirements. Conduct thorough engineering tests to validate functionality.
• Integrate and Maintain Third-Party Code: Adapt, port, and maintain third-party libraries, making necessary code changes or extensions to align with product specifications. Perform rigorous engineering tests to verify successful integration.
• Contribute to Project Planning: Actively participate in team planning sessions, providing accurate estimates of time and effort for software development tasks.

• Hands-on experience with Embedded Linux, including the ability to build the OS and develop applications.
• Proficiency with Git for source code management.

• Solid understanding of both microcontroller and System-on-a-Chip (SoC) architectures.

Preferred Skills and Expertise:

• Experience with QT for application development.

• Product Definition & Design:Translate product requirements into detailed technical specifications and system architectures.
  Develop and maintain comprehensive design documentation, including schematics, layouts, Gerber files, and verification reports.
  
• Technical Leadership & Collaboration:Lead and manage the hardware design process, collaborating effectively with in-house design teams, ODMs, and OEM suppliers.
  Proactively identify and mitigate technical risks, ensuring timely and effective resolution of design challenges.
  Foster strong communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams (software, mechanical, manufacturing) and stakeholders.
  
• Quality & Compliance:Ensure compliance with all relevant electrical safety and regulatory standards (e.g., EMC, safety).

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in hardware design.
• Strong foundation in digital and analog electronics, including:Microprocessor systems (e.g., ARM, x86)
  Memory systems (DDR, NAND, SRAM)
  Communication interfaces (USB, Ethernet, I2C, SPI, RS-485)
  Power electronics and thermal management
  High-speed digital design and signal integrity
  
• Proficiency in PCB design tools (e.g., Altium Designer, OrCAD)
• Experience with embedded systems design and development.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with firmware development (bootloaders, BSPs).
