About The Role

The Research Analyst of the Office for Skills-First Practices will lead research projects, analyse data, and produce insights reports to target audiences.

What You Will Be Doing

Reporting to the Deputy Director, the successful candidate will:

• Drive research and analytics projects from conception to completion, including study design, data collection, analysis, and reporting.
• Conduct quantitative and/or qualitative data collection, data preparation and data analyses using statistical software and data tools.
• Interpret data findings and translate them into actionable insights and recommendations for programmatic and policy decisions.

Job Requirements

• At least four years of stint in a research or analytics unit that addresses social science research questions.
• Post-grad qualification in relevant disciplines, e.g. mathematics, labour economics, political economy, data science, preferred.
• Strong in quantitative research.
• Experience in using data analytics and data science methods to conduct analysis.
• Strong organisational and planning skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with diverse stakeholders.

We are seeking a talented BI Analyst to join our Global Data & Analytics team. As a BI Analyst, you will play a key role in translating complex business requirements into effective technological solutions in collaboration with Data Engineers. Leveraging Microsoft Power BI and working with external consultants, you will convert these requirements into precise, actionable insights through advanced reports and dashboards. Key Responsibilities

• Business Requirement Analysis: Regularly interact with Product Owners to define and refine key business questions, then transform these into comprehensive data and analytics requirements.

Qualification & Experience

• Min Bachelor in Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, with a strong foundation in data manipulation, statistical analysis, and data visualization.
• Proven track record as a BI Analyst (min 5 years), demonstrating the ability to translate business requirements into non-technical terms and develop data models that provide meaningful insights.

Key Skills / Core Competencies

• Language Skills: Proficiency in both English and Japanese at a business negotiation level is required for this position as this role is supporting the Japanese product owners in our Japan office. Multilingual capabilities (German, French, Japanese or Mandarin) are added advantage.

· Commercial Finance Responsibilities:

· Lead the financial / strategic reviews with the Sales & Operations team
