ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

In anticipation of future bids and projects in Defence and Public Security sectors, Engineering Department requires system engineers who has a track record of building, deploying and maintaining the IT infrastructure in an enterprise environment. The System Engineer is to assist with IT infrastructure solutions according to project requirements and drive transformation for internal/external customers by adopting established platforms. As an IT Infrastructure System Engineer, you are accountable for:

The Job

To support the fast-growing data analytics function, we are looking for a highly talented Data Analyst. The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

• Building trust, relationship between the Data Team and our business stakeholders, and being responsible to further the maturity in Analytics in the business divisions he/she supports.
• Collaborating and partnering with business units and external partners to identify, plan and prioritise descriptive and prescriptive analytics projects to foster a data-centric culture that produces business impact.
• Partnering with Data Engineering to improve the data availability and quality of data pipelines, tools and processes. Including driving initiatives to standardise organisation metrics and leading data democratisation across the organisation.
• Partnering with other Data Units across the organisation such as the Data Science Team, Audience Engineering, Data Programs, and Innovation Teams in order to find and drive project synergies to drive value in data and analytics in the business lines.
• Contributing to data growth within the organisation by being part of infrastructural project teams and providing a point of view from business unit analytical needs.
• Hands on work on chosen data analytics projects where he/she thinks he/she can most add value to the team and the business. He/she is expected to be highly independent, and to lead business intelligence and analytics projects through the entire lifecycle. The ideal candidate will possess relevant domain, technical, critical thinking and interpersonal skills.
• Thought leadership in advancing SPH Media’s digital transformation and advancing the maturity of the use of data and analytics across the organisation.

General Knowledge & Experience

• At least 2-5 years of experience in a Data Analyst role
• A good university degree in Statistics, Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Business Administration or related fields. Or relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• Exposure and understanding of digital media industry metrics is a bonus

Role: System Analyst

Key Skills:

• Experience with Oracle PL/SQL, Oracle SQL.

• Database (Ability to use and understand for the purpose of analysis and design an investigation)

Key Responsibilities:

1. Functional specification

a. Responsible to analyse and define detailed functional specifications based on the functional and non-functional requirements document

b. Collaborate with Functional Business Analyst to clarify functional and non-functional requirements

c. Define and ensure traceability from functional specifications to business requirements

2. Technical Design

a. Responsible to create technical design

b. Ensure technical design adheres to architectural roadmap, Development practices, and security requirements

c. In case of vendor implementation: Ensure vendor resources create technical design document

d. Collaborate with developers and infrastructure teams to clarify functional specification and technical design during build, test and deployment phase

e. Collaborate with Production Support to establish IT operations procedures and document as part of Tech Design

f. Coordinate execution of threat modelling process with assistance of Security Architect to ensure implementation of safeguards is comprehensive in accordance with threats

3. Testing & Scope Management

a. Clarify test findings escalated by Test Manager and classify the findings accordingly (either as a defect or change request)

c. Work with Test Manager to review test plan and functional test scope.

Key Requirements:

Our Customer is a Leading bank in Asia that provides a front to back integrated platform for straight through processing and risk management.
This is a multi-year initiative where different projects run in concurrence under the program's variety milestones. These streams include new product initiatives, new entity roll-outs and regulatory compliances.

Abaxx Exchange is looking for a risk analyst who will assist the Head of Risk Control in overseeing and shaping the financial risk management practice in Singapore. The candidate will join a dynamic team, be exposed to a wide range of products and be challenged with complex risk problems. This is an exciting, multifaceted role where you will interact with teams across Clearing & Exchange Operations, Finance, Compliance, External Data/System Vendors, the Abaxx Technology team, and Market Regulators.

Responsibilities:

Risk Control

· Assist with the establishment and maintenance of the risk management framework by adhering to internal risk policies and staying up to date with regulatory standards and industry best practices

· Execute daily risk control processes and risk reports working alongside Clearing Operation teams to manage clearing risk

· Identify, investigate and escalate any issues or exceptions related to the risk framework (e.g. margin and guaranty fund breaches, risk limit excesses, data quality) including any required follow-up and reporting requirements

· Build and maintain reports for regular management, member and regulatory reporting

· Develop and maintain close working relationships with the Clearing & Exchange Operations, Compliance and Finance teams
