The Retail Planning Manager supports multiple facets of the planning process for the LEGO Retail business. This position requires collaboration with many collaborators and cross functional teams across the LEGO Group to develop and maintain flow of goods plans for each Brand Retail store and Shop at Home division. The flow plans are crafted to support the strategic financial plans focusing on inventory management and other critical metrics (sales, turn, gross margin). Through analysis and scenario planning the Retail Planner contributes valuable insights into the S&OP process.
Are you passionate about Retail planning and analysis:
- Understand and translate business needs into flow plans that encompass sales, receipts, inventory, and turns
- Collaborate with Merchandising, Marketing, Store Operations, and Finance to develop plans by channel, theme, and store for weekly, monthly, and annual plans
- Partner with the Forecast Manager to deliver a demand plan outlining risks and assumptions that facilitate discussion and consensus in the LEGO Retail S&OP process and proactively ensure alignment of changes to be consistent with updated plans
- Monitor weekly business performance, investigate deviations and re-project based on trends

The Retail Planning is a team within the LEGO Retail Operations and Merchandising department. We are a global team with members based in London, Boston, Billund, Singapore and Shanghai. We are a dynamic team, still in forming phase and our current process is still to be fine-tuned as we learn and grow as a team. The team consists of highly skilled people that are committed to deliver high performance and have fun while doing so.
We build an environment for collaborative business decision-making especially passionate about demand and sales planning, whilst also driving Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP). The Retail Planner position provides exposure to a wide variety of business departments and exposure to senior collaborators. You will use your analytical and forecasting ability to make recommendations to aid decision making which has a real impact on future business performance. Do you have what it takes:
- Demand Planning or Supply Chain experience desirable
- Previous retail experience desirable
- Previous finance experience desirable
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, advanced excel (POWER BI)
- Ideally experience working with statistical forecast models
- Preferable O9 experience or any planning system
- Night calls required 3 to 4 times a month
