Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in system implementation, ongoing maintenance, and support of existing systems, as well as providing proposals for new projects. This role will primarily serve a key customer, a prominent Japanese bank in Singapore.

Job Duties:

• System Implementation: Lead end-to-end system implementation projects, including planning, design, setup, testing, and system release.
• System Maintenance & Support: Provide troubleshooting and issue resolution for existing systems to ensure smooth operations.
• Project Proposal & Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with clients to understand requirements, evaluate solutions, and prepare detailed project proposals.

Key Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: - 8+ years in IT projects, particularly within banking or financial institutions. - 5+ years of hands-on experience in system infrastructure implementation. - 3+ years of experience working with major banks in Japan is highly preferred.
• Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of system infrastructure, including Windows OS, Oracle Database, VMware, and other system operation products. Familiarity with JP1 or similar enterprise-level system operation tools. Proficient in programming and scripting languages (e.g., WinBatch, PowerShell).
• Language Proficiency: Advanced skills in listening, reading, writing, and speaking in both English and Japanese language to effectively communicate with clients and teams.
• Customer-Focused: Strong customer service orientation, with the ability to understand and address client needs effectively.
• Additional Skills: Ability to diagnose and resolve software-related issues in collaboration with product support teams. Strong communication and negotiation skills, with experience in working cross-functionally with internal and external IT teams.

Job Responsibilities

User Support

• Respond to users’ support requests using Help Desk system;
• Assist with installing, configuring and maintaining PCs, networking equipment and network operating systems.
• Escalate support requests to senior team members when required.

IT Administration

• Perform basic administrative support duties as required to meet specific operational objectives.

Business Application Support

• Demonstrate progress of performing basic tasks within business applications under the supervision.
• Liaise with vendors when necessary;
• Maintain documentations in Help Desk system, User Manuals, Knowledge base, and procedures.

Job Requirements

Overview:
Provide system and network administration support to ensure a reliable platform for all IT business applications. Responsibilities include ensuring the efficient performance of server hardware, operating systems, networks, cabling, communication systems, and overall IT infrastructure.

Job Functions:

• Deliver Level 2 IT infrastructure support for servers, network equipment, backups, UPS, server room equipment, and peripherals, including implementation, patching, installation, and configuration.
• Administer, maintain, and manage computer systems, including operating systems and communication systems.
• Maintain documentation for security, service records, hardware, software, and IT infrastructure.
• Track, document, and resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Support and manage end-user accounts, ensuring proper rights, security settings, and group access.
• Ensure data integrity by managing daily backups and performing restores when needed.
• Periodically update and manage IT asset records.
• Maintain and support hardware, software, and operating systems aligned with corporate goals and IT policies.Includes installing and upgrading server hardware and software.
  
• Conduct regular maintenance, audits, and compliance checks for servers, UPS, and network equipment.
• Liaise with outsourced vendors for remote application support and Move-Add-Change requests.

Job Specifications:

• Diploma or degree in Computer Studies, Networking, or Communications with a minimum of 5 years of IT industry experience.
• A reliable, responsible team player with strong initiative and diligence.

Skills and Experience:

• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with:Administering Windows Active Directory, Windows Servers, DNS, Office 365 Administration, MS Azure, and related systems.
  
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience with:Maintaining and troubleshooting network equipment, VPNs, and wireless access points.
  Managing and configuring Hyper-V, Microsoft Authenticator, SharePoint, and related systems.
  Virtualization technologies, including VMware and Hyper-V.
  
• Strong knowledge of ITIL processes, particularly Incident Management, Problem Management, and Change Management.
• Certifications preferred:MCSA or MSCE.
  CCNA or equivalent network management certifications.
  

Job Responsibilities:

• Liaising with Government agencies on deliveries matter
• Arranging delivery schedule for in-house drivers on daily basis
• Liaising with the Sales Dept & IT Dept closely on after-sales matters
• Maintain asset inventory and data records
• Liaising with clients for relocation and arranging with in-house driver team
• Preparing IT Engineers schedules for on-site to perform cryptographic erasure and verification before arranging driver to collect back the equipment from agency
• Preparation and submitting monthly reports for each tender
• Sending reminder emails in the interval of 3 months, 2 months and 1 month before the expiry dates to agencies to prepare and return the equipment before end-of-lease date
• Any ad hoc requirements by the Manager
• Handle incoming calls and email enquiries from corporate customers

• Minimum Diploma in Business Administration or related studies

As a IT Manager | Desktop Support, the broad area of your job responsibilities will cover the following:

Ability to guide the team and resolve incident escalated by Desktop Support Assistant in confirming the validity of the problem and seeking and researching for known solutions related to these more complex issues.

Performed Desktop Support services to users

This includes receiving, prioritizing, documenting and actively resolving end user help requests and escalating incidents when necessary to maintain customer satisfaction and SLA expectations.

Perform asset inventories

Perform technical escalation to 3rd party vendor or resolver groups (where appropriate)

Updates Incident records

Creates and updates work instructions (where necessary)

Document standards and procedures (where necessary)

Ideal candidate should possess the following:

Min 7 years’ Service Desk front and back-office experience with experience in leading a team

AV equipment experiences will be a plus
