Position Overview
KKCS is seeking a highly motivated and self-driven IT Manager to oversee all aspects of IT operations and strategy for our organization, which supports a team of about 100 staff across four locations. This is a broad, independent role that requires a versatile individual capable of managing IT systems, ensuring data protection and cybersecurity, and leading IT projects. The ideal candidate will stay updated on emerging technologies, proactively implement solutions, and drive organizational digital transformation to support KKCS’s mission.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
A Information Technology Operations
1. Serve as the main point of contact for all IT-related matters, including overall responsibility for strategic IT direction, IT project management and change management, negotiation and management of IT vendors and outsourced vendors, IT infrastructure and network, hosting, cybersecurity, IT software and hardware management, telephony, knowledge management structure, and record upkeep.
2. Manage the development of service-level objectives and targets for all appointed IT vendors.
3. Monitor service-level objectives to ensure that requirements are met or exceeded.
4. Provide recommendations on emerging technology to senior management and stakeholders.
5. Develop and implement communication plans for change implementation.
6. Explore methods to apply new technology to, and reuse existing technology for, business processes and improvements.
B Data Protection and Cybersecurity
1. Act as the organization's Data Protection Officer, ensuring compliance with all relevant data protection laws and regulations, including requirements by MSF and the Data Security Instructions.
2. Implement and monitor data protection policies and procedures to safeguard sensitive information with the support of staff in various Service Units.
3. Design, implement, and maintain robust cybersecurity measures to protect against threats and vulnerabilities.
4. Conduct regular risk assessments, system audits, and vulnerability scans, and address identified risks.
5. Educate staff on cybersecurity best practices and enforce compliance with IT policies.
C Project Implementation and Management
1. Lead IT projects from planning to execution, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
2. Evaluate and onboard new technologies or systems that enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement IT solutions tailored to operational needs.
4. Coordinate with vendors and service providers to ensure timely delivery of projects and services.
D Strategic IT Leadership
1. Develop and implement the organization's IT strategy in line with its mission and vision.
2. Stay abreast of emerging technologies and provide recommendations on their adoption.
3. Analyze cost-benefit, risks, and opportunities for technology upgrades or transformations.
4. Foster a culture of innovation by identifying methods to optimize existing systems or processes using technology.
E. Service Level and Vendor Management:
1. Define, manage, and monitor service-level agreements (SLAs) with external IT vendors.
2. Ensure that all third-party services meet agreed-upon standards and organizational requirements.
3. Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with IT service providers.
F Other Duties
1. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, codes, and requirements stipulated by funders and regulators for KKCS, which is a society, charity, and IPC.
2. Support the role of secretariat for the Management Committee and its sub-committees alongside other staff members.
3. Serve as the Data Protection Officer of KKCS.
4. Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by the Corporate Services Director
