Logistics Specialist

location: Penjuru Pl, Jurong East area

5 days - Monday - Friday 8am - 5.30pm (shuttle bus provided)

Our Logistics Specialist has primary responsibility for controlling the efficient flow of goods, services and information between point of origin through to customer placement in order to meet customer requirements. You will ensure the execution and continuous improvement of standard logistics processes and build relationships with strategic customers through logistics initiatives. In addition, you will identify problems and all relevant issues in straightforward situations, assess each using standard procedures and makes sound decisions.

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Prepare all required documents related to shipping such as Commercial Invoice, Shipper's Letter of Instruction, packing slips and other required documents
• Ensure materials are shipped in the most timely and efficient manner according to internal documented processes, including planning transportation, selecting mode of transportation, and tracking the shipment through the Supply Chain while targeting cost reduction, freight savings, and contractual requirements using OTM tool
• Analyze transportation costs and trends, update performance metrics, and prepare routine reports identifying actions for continued improvement
• Work closely with freight forwarder and other service providers to facilitate the movement of outbound international shipments
• Liaison between customer (direct and intra-company), logistics provider and procurement
• Weekly and monthly reporting of internal KPI's identified by Logistics Manager
• Execute the best practices for coordinating the flow of goods and logistics information across all internal teams, departments and customers
• Provide pricing (direct and intra-company) for equipment to be exported considered out of gauge according to Global Supply Chain Freight Contracts
• Invoicing of equipment shipped and all associated cost (freight/crating)
• Foster strong vendor and customer relations are upheld
• Maintain respectful and professional relationships with all levels of staff, customers, and logistics service providers.
• Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies.

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of Logistics experience
• Minimum Diploma in Business or Supply Chain Management
• Excellent interpersonal, communications, organization skills and the ability to meet deadlines
• Must have excellent customer service skills and possess the ability to work both independently and within a team environment
• Proficiency with standard functions within applications such as MS Office, MS Outlook, etc
• Experience with SAP or JDE is a plus
• Certification from accredited logistics programs is a plus
• Degree Qualification is a plus

Job Responsibilites and Qualification:

· Participate in requirements gathering and use case development;

· Minimum of 3 years of experience working with SailPoint technologies (IdentityIQ), concepts and features;

· Develop technical project plans and aid in project resourcing;

· Develop and execute test cases and test plans for SailPoint solutions;

· Development background (i.e. JAVA);

· Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization in comprehensive manner (i.e. translate and present technical information to business);

· Experience with IdentityIQ Administration and Implementation;

· Develop or contribute to technical project plans with regular tracking and reporting;

· Front end tech: Angular.js is ideal;

· Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a closely related field;

· Strong IAM domain knowledge;

· Strong working knowledge of Java and the ability to write scripts.

You will be part of an IT infrastructure Support Team managing mission critical high-tech biometrics devices at critical locations of significant national interest. You will be trained to manage, troubleshoot and maintain the operational availability of these devices and to remedy faults to prevent operational downtime.

As an IT Support Engineer, you will be responsible for the following:-

• Support the project teams in the implementation, installation and configuration of PCs/Workstations O.S., applications and related peripheral devices.
• Provide 1st level on-site IT support to the end-users on a 24x7 rotational shift, from 10 am to 10 pm/ 10 pm to 10 am, including Public Holidays.
• The successful applicants should be prepared to be deployed primarily at Tuas Checkpoint. The successful applicant could be deployed to the Tuas checkpoint in the future on a rotational basis.
• Provide findings and timely status updates to the Project Manager on major issues escalated by users.
• Perform daily health checks and inventory checks on the system.
• Experience in installation, configuration, troubleshooting of PC / peripheral devices and application maintenance support will be required.
• Hands-on experience in supporting end-users in a Windows (Windows clients) environment is required.

• Having prior exposure to IT operational environments is advantageous.
• A strong Team player with the ability to collaborate and willingness to support one another.
• Communicates well and has good interpersonal skills.
• independent and has ownership of his/her assigned tasks.
• Certification in Nitec, Higher Nitec or Diploma, ideally with a focus/specialization in IT.
• Have a keen interest in IT Service Management
• Willing to work on rotations.

In the course of your tenure as IT Support Engineer, you will learn and acquire the following:

• Experience in installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of biometrics devices as well as the maintenance of related software applications.
• Hands-on experience in supporting high-tech devices in Windows (Windows clients) environment/platform.
• Understanding of IT Service Management where SLAs (service-level agreements), and KPIs (key performance indicators) need to be managed and adhered to.
• Familiarity with the fundamental scope of work typically delivered in IT Support Services.
• Ability to work under time-sensitive situations.
• Career progression to Lead a team in providing IT Support Services.
