The Curriculum Specialist provides leadership for the development of teaching and learning practices at the school. He/she mentors Teachers and provides leadership in customising and implementing a holistic curriculum. He/she inspires teachers to integrate the philosophy and values of Shaws within their teaching and learning practices and to embrace the ShawsPlay curriculum.
Working with the Centre Leader and the teachers, he/she fosters a culture of continuous learning and professionalism and develops and leads teachers in partnerships and sustained collaboration with stakeholders.
Skill Requirements:
- Engage in effective teaching and learning practices that support Shaws curriculum and SPARK framework
- Inspire a love for learning through co-leading the design of the Shaws curricula and programmes
- Lead in integrating the core values of Shaws within the Shaws curriculum and programmes
- Lead in coordinating project learning between English and Chinese teachers
- Work with the Centre Leader to establish quality learning environments to support learning of children
- Mentor staff to enhance caring, trusting and respectful relationships with children
- Advocate for a safe and healthy environment within the school
- Lead in developing strategies to establish partnerships with families and community stakeholders
- Contribute to fostering a culture of continuous learning
- Contribute to fostering a culture of collaboration and teamwork
- Collaborate with the centre leader and colleagues to align short term and long term goas to the vision, mission and values of the school
