Responsibilities

1. Power BI Development & Administration:

• Design, develop, and deploy Power BI dashboards, reports, and datasets based on business requirements.
• Manage Power BI workspace and app configurations, ensuring best practices for governance, security, and performance optimization.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Power BI datasets, reports, and services.

2. Data Modeling & Analytics:

• Build complex data models in Power BI, ensuring accurate and efficient data relationships and calculations.
• Develop and optimize DAX queries to meet analytical and reporting needs. Conduct in-depth data analysis to support decision-making and provide actionable recommendations.

3. Integration with Microsoft Ecosystem:

• Integrate Power BI with other Microsoft platforms such as SharePoint, Dataverse, and Teams to create seamless solutions.
• Collaborate with Power Apps and Automate developers to deliver integrated solutions that enhance team productivity and streamline workflows.

4. Support and Collaboration:

• Support day-to-day operations with ad-hoc analysis to address immediate business needs and challenges.
• Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements, define KPIs, and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
• Provide training and technical support to end-users for effective Power BI usage.

5. Governance & Best Practices:

• Establish and enforce standards for Power BI governance, including dataset versioning, security, and performance optimization.
• Stay updated with the latest Power BI and Power Platform features, sharing best practices with the team.

Qualifications

1. Experience:

• At least 5 years of experience in Power BI development and administration.
• Strong track record of delivering advanced dashboards and data visualization solutions.

2. Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Power BI (desktop, service, and administration).
• Advanced knowledge of DAX, Power Query, and M scripting.
• Solid understanding of SQL and data integration from diverse sources.

3. Soft Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
• Experience solving business problems and using mathematical techniques using available data.

4. Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or in a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with SharePoint, Dataverse, and other Microsoft Power Platform products (Power Apps, Power Automate).
• Microsoft Certifications PL-300, DP-600, PL-100.

Role Purpose

The Executive Planning Specialist supports the CEO and the Strategy & Planning Manager to maintain a high-level of corporate governance and strategic alignment for the company. The role is also required to work closely with, and support, the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) to achieve day-to-day business excellence.

Role Accountabilities

• Work with ELT to establish clear charters and delegated authority levels for a number of Swire Shipping’s revamped steering committees (as directed by the Strategy & Planning Manager).

• Facilitate each of the steering committee meeting (Executive Committee and sub-committees) in a consistent manner. Oversee the successful escalation of decisions to the Executive Committee, and conversely the cascading of key messages from the Executive Committee.

• Assist the Strategy & Planning Manager on strategic planning, balanced scorecard maintenance, and stakeholder management for projects related to geopolitics and government relations.

• Establish and actively maintain a rolling annual calendar of key business events to minimise clashes and ensure a focus on strategic priorities.

• Own the planning and facilitation of leadership events (1-2 in-person ELT offsite, 2 in-person leadership conferences, 1 virtual leadership conference).

Safety

• Assist GM, Safety Governance & Performance to achieve a consistent group-wide approach to safety.

• Take responsibility for the safety of myself and those around me by displaying safety leadership principles (i.e. Safety I’s & Accountability ladder).

• Challenging and stopping unsafe acts and behaviours or unsafe conditions.

• Comply with the Global Safety Standards, Policies and Operating Procedures.

Key Qualifications & Skills

• Degree/Diploma in Business Administration or related discipline

• Minimum 3 years relevant experience

• Strong organisation and planning skills and attention to detail

• Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills

• Good visual presentation skills
