• Prepare balance sheet schedules
• Review and verify general ledger accounts assignment of non-trade purchase orders and payment requests

GST reporting and audit preparation support

• Prepare quarterly GST report for submission to tax authorities according to the applicable tax regulations
• Checks completion of transaction documents to ensure GST filing compliance
• Prepare withholding tax computation
• Provide support in preparation of information to be provided for internal and external auditors to facilitate the auditing process and statutory financial reporting

Functional Skills and Knowledge

• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices

• Works closely with the internal auditors to identify the opportunities, profile, analyse and present the data discovery output for analytics
• Problem-solve computational and analytical challenges investigating the data, understanding the root causes and coming up with alternative measurement strategies
• Use of various programming tools to formulate algorithms and scripts for the review of data
• Develop codes that a production-ready and reusable, adhering to proper documentation guidelines
• Prototype, build & maintain value-adding data visualization using Business Intelligence tools
• Derive, hypothesis and perform data iterations to promote effectiveness of data analysis and to proactively identify meaningful data insights for auditors/ stakeholder recommendations
• Design and implement monitoring platforms for continuous monitoring and predictive analysis

Job Requirements

• Bachelor / Master’s Degree in a quantitative discipline (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Statistics or Information Technology)
• Knowledge in machine learning, programming tools, network, databases and operating systems
• Meticulous, highly analytical, process-driven self-starter with the ability to work independently and as a team member
• Good interpersonal skills, able to work in diverse environment and build good working relationships with business counterparts, able to work collaboratively as part of a team
• Creative, with good problem solving skills
• Proficiency in using query languages and programming tools such as SQL, Python and R Programming

Who we are looking for

As Hydroleap is growing and offering solutions to more clients within the existing verticals as well as the new verticals, we are looking for an Finance & Accounts Executive who will be responsible for managing the financial operations of the company, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and supporting the overall financial strategy of the organization. This role will report to the CFO to maintain financial health, manage financial risks, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

What you will be doing

Financial Reporting:

• Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

• Assist in the development of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
• Monitor and report on budget variances, providing insights and recommendations for corrective actions.
• Support management in financial planning and decision-making processes.

Accounts Management:

• Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
• Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
• Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and procedures.

Financial Analysis:

• Conduct financial analysis to support business decisions, including cost analysis, pricing strategies, and investment evaluations.
• Provide insights and recommendations to improve financial performance and profitability.
• Analyze market trends and economic factors that could impact the company’s financial position.

Taxation and Compliance:

• Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns and compliance with all tax regulations.
• Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial regulations and legislation.

Risk Management:

• Identify and assess financial risks, implementing strategies to mitigate them.
• Assist in the development and implementation of internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure financial stability.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with other departments to provide financial insights and support.
• Communicate financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
• Support the finance team in achieving departmental goals and objectives.

Your Capabilities and Credentials

• Diploma’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent is preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience in a finance or accounting role.
• Strong knowledge of financial principles, practices, and regulations.
• Proficiency in financial management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
