Job Responsibilities:

• Network and server system maintenance and troubleshooting. IT infrastructure maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Digitize business rules, processes, and data, and promote the implementation of IT solutions.
• Implement IT standard/policy in responsible offices. Analyze business requirement and initial the IT project to satisfy the requirement.
• Build IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, server room, cabling, door access control/CCTV etc. IT service incident management, availability management, capacity management, continuity management, data backup and recovery etc.
• Helpdesk support for users, including desktop support, printer machine support, IT training etc.

Requirement:

• Proficient in TCP/IP technologies.
• Familiar with WAN technologies, knows corporate-level network architecture, knows data communications such as Frame Relay, PPP and MPLS. Proficient in routing protocols and configurations, such as BGP, OSPF etc. Familiar with Huawei routers is preferred.
• Familiar with LAN technologies, knows building-level LAN architecture. Proficient in common LAN protocols and configurations, such as VLAN, STP etc. Familiar with Huawei switches is preferred
• Familiar with Windows server systems, such as AD (Active Directory), DNS, DHCP, Web server, SQL server etc. Proficient in server troubleshooting and maintenance. Knows disk arrays, SAN/NAS storage etc.
• Skillful in IT infrastructure items, such as server room facilities, structure cabling system, UPS, door access control/CCTV, air conditioning etc.
• Skillful in laptop/desktop, OS, office software troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Optimistic, pro-active, team player.
• Familiar with scripting languages (such as Python, Xshell, and Go etc), and can develop automated scripting tools.

Assist the IT Executive in ensuring the smooth operation of the hotel’s Information Technology systems and infrastructure. Provide first-line IT support to hotel staff and contribute to maintaining the reliability, security, and efficiency of IT systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-level troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues encountered by hotel staff, documenting incidents and solutions for future reference.
• Assist the IT Executive in implementing and maintaining incident management policies and procedures, ensuring clarity in escalation and resolution processes.
• Support the IT Executive in monitoring and maintaining information systems and data processing operations.
• Perform routine system tasks, including setting up user accounts, managing software installations, and ensuring regular updates of antivirus programs.
• Conduct daily and monthly backups, verify the success of backup processes, and ensure secure storage of backup data.
• Collaborate with departments to assess IT needs and assist in implementing solutions that align with hotel policies and system capabilities.
• Ensure critical systems (e.g., servers and Property Management Systems) are operational, including managing automatic standby modes when required.
• Conduct regular checks for unauthorized programs, improper configurations, or potential security vulnerabilities, escalating issues to the IT Executive when needed.
• Support the implementation and maintenance of new technologies or system upgrades under the guidance of the IT Executive.
• Maintain an updated inventory of IT equipment and software, assisting in procurement and replacement when necessary.

Qualifications

• NITEC, Higher NITEC, or Diploma in Information Technology or related field.
• Basic knowledge of hardware, software, and network troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with backup procedures and antivirus software management.
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively and provide support to non-technical staff.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies in a dynamic environment.
• Prior experience in a hospitality or service environment is an advantage but not required.
