RESPONSIBILITIES:
IT Strategy & Management
· Develop and ensure that IT strategies, policies, controls and procedures that are aligned to objectives of the various Business Units.
· Lead and manage the Information Technology Department consisting of people, IT Infrastructure (Software & Hardware), MIS, Computer Operations and IT Security in providing efficient and effective IT services needed to support the bank’s operation and business growth.
· Set goals and provide direction for the department in accordance to the overall business strategy.
· Ensure that service level agreements are adhered to and the team provides responsive support to all business units within the Bank in Singapore. Evaluate staffing requirements, training and recruitment issues and agree priorities and time scales to resolve issues.
· Translate business needs and strategies into IT operation and support plans for execution.
· Optimize the use of IT resources to maximize productivity to support business initiatives.
· Develop and maintain business continuity management plan, identify resources and services required by the business during a business disruption. Carry out risk assessment, awareness, business impact analysis, assisting in drawing out recovery strategies for all technology departments and developing the detailed plan.
· Manage software development (developed locally).
· Ensure I.T user support excellence at all times.
· Implement disaster recovery planning and system testing.
· Ensure I.T requirements for opening of branches and ATMs are delivered in a timely and effective fashion.
· Ensure that regulatory guidelines related to IT Department are followed meticulously and the regulatory expectations on system availability are adhered to.
· Coordinate with ITFO so that the regulatory expectations on system availability are adhered to.
· Ensure that no unauthorized software/ applications are used within Bank’s system and all the software are having proper license in place.
· To follow the guidelines on procurement of required hardware and software.
· Develop, implement, and continuously improve the bank’s IT related policies.
· To work in close coordination and maintain liaison with ITFO.
· Local service desk issues to be resolved on top priority and it should enable business units to function properly.
Vendor Management
· Establish and maintain all third party I.T contracts with vendors and outsourced parties.
· Review service level agreements and conduct due diligence to ensure vendors and outsourced parties adhere to the bank regulations and procedures.
Other Activities
· Advise the business on IT Security strategy, audit areas, and key technical/infrastructure implementations.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Graduate or equivalent, preference will be given to those who hold degree in the field of Information Technology and have done courses related to Banking/Information technology.
- 15 continuous years of banking experience, preference will be given to those having working experience in a bank in Branch Operations/ Bank IT Operations, so that the candidate has an overview of overall working of the Bank.
- Preference will be given to candidates having overview and exposure to Banking Applications.
- Sound knowledge of banking systems/processes/procedures.
- Good management skills and analytical mindset, one who can effectively analyse a situation and make decisions to address issues/problem.
- Excellent communication and inter personal skills with the ability to Interact with all levels of staff and top management
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft applications: Excel/Word/PowerPoint.
