The Calibration Lab Technician is responsible for performing calibration and maintenance of pressure and temperature measuring instruments in compliance with industry standards and customer requirements. This role ensures accuracy, reliability, and traceability of equipment used in industrial and scientific applications.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform calibration of pressure gauges, transducers, thermometers, thermocouples, thermohygrometer and other related instruments in laboratory or client site as required.
• Ensure all calibrations are conducted in compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 standards.
• Conduct routine testing and quality checks on lab equipment.
• Prepare detailed calibration certificates and reports in compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 standards.
• Maintain accurate calibration records and ensure traceability to national or international standards.
• Ensure proper maintenance and cleanliness of calibration equipment and the lab environment.
• Troubleshoot, repair and adjust instruments as necessary to meet calibration specifications.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain compliance with all relevant quality management systems.
• Stay updated on industry standards and methodologies related to calibration.
• Work collaboratively with engineers and other team members to meet customer requirements.

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist in the installation, operation, trouble-shooting, maintenance and repair activities of factory and office machineries and equipment, with an emphasis on automation machineries and robotic systems.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities:

• Support Principal Automation Engineer/Automation Engineer in providing technical support in computerized automation/robotic systems.
• Perform machineries and equipment installation, set-up, servicing, maintenance and repair job (both corrective and preventive), and ensure automation/robotic systems to remain in a validated and functional state at all times, including setting up or calibration check.
• Ensure that automation equipment are well maintained in good working condition to support production or engineering runs with minimum downtime.
• Ensure timely diagnosis, trouble-shooting and resolution of identified automation/robotic system issues (both hardware and software).
• Perform routine checks to monitor equipment operating parameters, prompt updating onto monitoring system to ensure operations are within control specifications, including setting up or calibration check.
• Prepare trouble report and be involved in work improvement projects.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by superior and/or management.

Job Specification:

• NTC 3/Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Mechatronics or equivalent.
• Understanding of electrical/mechanical/pneumatic schematics • Fundamentals in robot teaching
• Basic knowledge in PLC, HMI, and control system.
• Sensors selection and maintenance
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in process control/automation/robotic system solution in a manufacturing or related field.
• Knowledge Required: • Working knowledge in metal stamping industry is preferred. • Possess safety awareness in handling machine as well as basic safety knowledge in factory.

Suggest and implement process improvements to enhance equipment efficiency and reduce downtime.

Participate in training programs to stay updated on new technologies and techniques in the industry.

Requirements:

Minimum NTC 3 in Mechanical/Electrical Fitting.

Certification in maintenance and reliability (e.g., CMRP) is advantageous.

2–5 years of experience in maintenance within a stamping or manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
