About the role:
Kitchen Technician
The Kitchen Technician is responsible for managing all technical maintenance needs within the hotel's F&B outlets and kitchen areas. This role requires a collaborative approach, working closely with the Restaurant, Bar, and Culinary teams to ensure seamless operations.
What you will do:
- Perform service, repairs, and troubleshooting for HVAC, refrigeration, and kitchen equipment within F&B areas.
- Conduct routine maintenance on kitchen machinery and fixtures, including lighting, gas burners, cold room condensers & non-portable M&E equipment.
- Ability to install or relocate any addition or existing equipment when necessary, such as replacing/repairing bearings, gears, belts, shafts, springs, control mechanism, heat element, motors and associated equipment in the kitchen etc.
- Log maintenance activities, respond to HotSOS work orders, and coordinate with external vendors when needed.
- Handle emergencies and implement Fire, Life, and Work Safety procedures across all F&B areas.
- Report all incidents immediately, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
What you bring
- Preferably a NITEC in Mechanical/Electrical/Building/Facilities Engineering or its equivalent
- Minimum one (1) year as Kitchen Technician with hands-on experience, preferably in a hospitality or facilities-related field, will be an added advantage
- Experience with mechanical, electrical, or HVAC systems in a hotel or similar environment is a plus.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other departments.
- Strong commitment to safety and following operational procedures.
- Positive learning attitude, an eye for details, being actively prepared for urgent/emergency work, and a growth mindset
