• Troubleshoot and carry out minor repairs (electrical, plumbing, builder, etc) for the building and related facilities.
• Supervise sub-contractors who carry out approved repair works and scheduled maintenance in the building.
• Assist Facilities Executive & officer to execute preventive maintenance regime and/or ad-hoc upgrading project and monitor the work progress.
• Assist Facilities Executive & officer to attend to tenant’s feedback on the building and related facilities.
• Provide guidance and coaching to junior staff when required.
• To carry out routine servicing in M&E systems (i.a.w. operation requirements).
• To provide initial fault response reported by client.
• Updating and follow up on completed/outstanding faults status.
• To supervise specialist contractors maintenance activities (as & when required).
• To carry out shift duties.
• To carry out additional tasks as instructed by company/ immediate supervisor.

Job Description:

We are looking for Marine Technicians who will be responsible for maintaining and repairing various marine vessels and equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of marine mechanics, electronics, and systems to ensure the safe and efficient operation of boats and ships. The Marine Technician will work closely with engineers, vessel operators, and other technical staff to diagnose issues, perform routine maintenance, and implement repairs.

• Maintenance and Repairs: Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on marine engines, propulsion systems, and other mechanical and electrical components of vessels.
• Diagnostics: Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and troubleshoot issues in marine systems.
• Installation: Install new equipment and systems on vessels, including navigation aids, communication devices, and safety equipment.
• Inspections: Perform regular inspections of vessels to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repairs performed, including parts used and time taken.
• Testing: Conduct tests on repaired systems to verify their proper operation and ensure that all repairs meet manufacturer and regulatory standards.
• Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with vessel owners and operators about maintenance needs and repairs performed.
• Safety: Adhere to all safety protocols and standards to ensure a safe working environment both onshore and offshore.

Qualifications:

Education

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Technical training or certification in marine technology or a related field is highly desirable.

Experience

• At least 2-3 years of experience in marine maintenance and repair with navigation, communication & automation equipment.
• Experience with onboard vessels
• Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment specific to marine systems.

Technical maintenance skills:

· Repair all model cell phones, tablets and other electronic devices, including screen replacements, battery replacements and component-level repairs.

· Proficiency in the use of specialized tools and equipment to disassemble, reassemble and test mobile equipment.

Quality assurance:

· Follow standardized repair procedures and quality control measures to ensure repairs comply with company standards and industry specifications.

· Conduct thorough testing and inspection of repaired equipment to verify functionality and identify any remaining issues.

· Accurately and comprehensively document maintenance activities, including parts used, repairs performed and test results.

Recommend suitable mobile phone accessories according to customer needs.

· Setting up electrical connections in R&D equipment

· Setting up of Jigs

· Other R&D tasks as required (PCB testing, assembly, soldering, paneling, cabling and misc work)

· Performing Goods Receipt

· Labelling and Packaging of components

· Inventory storage and housekeeping

· Training will be provided

Requirements:-

· Possess engineering experience in Mechanical/Electronics, or equivalent

· At least 3 years experiences in relevant or related field

· Good communication and interpersonal skill

· Proactive with good initiatives, problem solving skill and analytical ability

· Technical knowledge and hands-on skills on monitoring,troubleshooting, servicing, maintenance and tool recovery

· Able to work under pressure

· Experienced In Assembly, Automation, Testing / Soldering / Machine Alignment (eg. Perpendicularity) preferred

· Must be able to work night shift or split shift
. Must be able to work extra hours or weekend if needed

Education and Experance Requirements :

• Min. NITEC, Higher NITEC, or Technical certificate in Electrical or Mechanical or Engineering or any bachelor degree .
• Preferably with min. 2-3 years’ relevant work experience in hands on maintenance experience in chemical industry.
• Hands on experience in E & I, production line design and commissioning would be an advantage.
• Good knowledge in mechanical, process control safety standards.
• Strong equipment troubleshooting hands on skill
