3. Process Optimization:

• Continuously improve production efficiency and output.

4. Material Handling:

• Handle raw materials, WIP and finished products (steel wire) and ensure proper and safe materials handling.
• Monitor material inventory levels and coordinate with the supply chain/warehouse team.

5. Fibre Forming and Cutting:

• Perform fibre forming to required shape as needed.
• Cut fibres to specified lengths for packaging.

6. Packaging and Final Product:

• Package steel fibres according to guidelines.
• Ensure proper labeling and documentation.
• Collaborate with packaging and logistics teams.

7. Safety and Compliance:

• Participate in safety training and adhere to safety protocols.
• Report any safety incidents promptly.
• Contribute to maintaining a safe work environment.

8. Collaboration:

• Work closely with colleagues, including the Production Manager.
• Provide feedback on process improvements and equipment maintenance.

Qualifications:

Education:

• O-Level, ITE or equivalent.

Experience:

• Minimum of three years of related experience in manufacturing, preferably in steel production or similar industries is preferred.
• Experience with operating steel wire drawing equipment and maintenance of such equipment.
• Experience with operating butt-welding equipment to join wires.
• Knowledge of consumables used in wire drawing operations like dies, pressure dies, calcium/sodium-based lubricants, etc.

Skills:

• Familiarity with operating and maintaining machinery.
• Basic knowledge of steel processing techniques.
• Ability to use hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
• Strong communication skills.
• Proficiency in English.

Certifications (if applicable):

• Relevant certifications related to machinery operation and safety.

Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate, Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic), Engineering (Industrial), Others or equivalent.

Required language(s): Preferably English and Mandarin spoken.

At least 6 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.

• Study and analyse utilization of the network capacity resources, plan and implement changes to optimise and expand the network.
• Generate monthly reports via digital inventory to monitor network utilization, analyse trends and provide suggestions for improvement.
• Ensure all inventory assets, utilization, circuit routings are updated in the digital inventory in a timely manner.
• Streamlined process for inventory control, to achieve leaner and efficient operations.
• Document network design, configurations topology diagrams for ongoing processes, references and training purposes.
• Collaborate with various internal stakeholders such as AM, CS, PM for capacity request and new sales order.
• To work with external parties including bilaterial partners and vendors.
• Perform Ad-hoc restoration during outage, plan restoration using existing available capacity within specific SLA.
• Manage different projects, monitor timeline and resources to ensure project delivery within specific timelines.
• To remain on standby via call during assigned week to support Operations and respond to urgent request and outages for circuit restoration.
• Go on site for assigned activities to work with vendors for system planning and implementation and migration activities.

Skills for Success:

• Nitec / Diploma in Engineering/Telecommunications or in relevant field.
• Goal-oriented with good analytical skills to solve problem. Candidate must be committed and driven to deliver projects assigned on time.
• Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Experience in telecom environment with focus on transport network, optical transmission and ethernet technologies.
• Good understanding of transport network architectures including OTN and Ethernet, DWDM.
• Good technical skill set with knowledge of L2 and L3 networking and strong understanding of TCP/IP, IP addressing, and routing protocols.
• Experience with networking hardware from major vendors.
