About your role

Develop and Maintain Software Solutions

As a senior developer, you will design, implement and continuously optimize automation solutions to meet stakeholder needs and the changing security landscape. You will also research new technologies and tooling, provide consultation and ongoing support, as well as present solutions to leadership team and colleagues to gain buy-in. You will be a key contributor to the development and execution of the automation strategy and roadmap for threat management.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement and continuously optimize solutions to meet the changing stakeholder needs and security landscape

Job Qualifications:

• 5+ years of software engineering experience including architecting, designing and programming
• Extensive programming experience, 3+ years programming in Python

• Strong working experience of Windows and Linux environments
• Sound knowledge of common network protocols including TCP/IP and HTTP
• Knowledge of modern digital architecture (cloud, container, messaging and microservices)

The Software Developer role will have the following responsibilities:

Software Engineering/Programming

• Design and develop back-end systems in our e-commerce platform.

• Collaborate with the CTO to implement the product development road-map.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Excellent competence in Java, Spring and JavaScript is required. Competence is more important than working experience. A candidate would typically have a minimum of 3 years relevant working experience but exceptions can be made for outstanding candidates.
• Experience developing web and stand-alone applications in Spring technologies such as: Spring Boot, Spring REST.
• Hands-on experience with MySQL (or any relational databases), data storage, archiving and retrieval.
• Experience with secure coding practices and resolving system vulnerabilities.
• Experience in managing and troubleshooting Linux systems.
• Proficient spoken and written English.

Nice to have but not required:

• Experience in unit testing frameworks and in test driven development.
• Experience in DevOps and GitOps and common frameworks such as Gitlab.

This is a permanent full time position. The job location is at BullionStar's headquarter at 45 New Bridge Road.

Salary and Benefits

The salary is dependent on your capability, experience and skills. The typical starting salary is from SGD 7,000 to SGD 11,000 per month for a driven candidate, plus up to 3 months' bonus. In addition, BullionStar provides an Annual Wage Supplement (AWS) equivalent to 1 month salary. BullionStar furthermore offers reimbursement of medical bills and access to an employee health and fitness benefit program.

• Design and develop high-quality, performant Android applications using Kotlin and Java. 
• Collaborate closely with a cross-functional team of designers, product managers, and backend engineers to bring innovative features to life.  Contribute to the development of our mobile SDK, enabling seamless integration with our hardware and software ecosystem. 
• Work with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology to facilitate secure and robust communication between our app and smart devices. 
