· Report to Head of Software Engineering

How you spend your time:

· Being part of an agile team, you will deal with the current and future smart product needs of our customers

· You take care of the design, development, testing and operation of new functionalities in applications and software solutions. Your work enables our customers to engage with us and our products based on a digital experience and to extend our traditional products with smart capabilities.

· Further development of several dashboard and backend applications in an interdisciplinary team

· Design and construct CI/CD pipelines leveraging cloud native technologies like IaC stack

What will make you successful:

· Proficiency in HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, and CSS.

· Experience with modern UI technology (ReactJS/ AngularJS)

· Experience in Java web application technology (Spring, hibernate, Ibatis, etc)

· Some knowledge on IOT development (Node-red, MQTT, Python, timeseries DB, etc) will be an added advantage.

· Some Experience in DevOps and CI/CD, micro-services architectures, container orchestration platforms will be an added advantage.

· A passion for computer programming and a deep curiosity to learn and absorb new technologies quickly

Key Responsibilities:

Build and Develop Applications:

• Write clean, efficient code using languages like Java, C# (.NET Core), Python (3.xx), or Typescript.
• Design and manage databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL).
• Create cloud-based solutions with AWS services.

Collaborate with the Team:

• Work closely with business teams to understand their needs and turn them into technical solutions.
• Contribute to projects using Agile methods like Scrum, Kanban, or DevOps tools.

Leverage Your Skills:

• Use Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) to build enterprise-level applications.
• Optionally, work on front-end frameworks like Node.js, React, or Angular (a plus).
• Follow best practices in software development and project management.

Learn and Innovate:

• Stay curious about new technologies and look for ways to improve systems.
• Be proactive in identifying and solving challenges.

Qualifications:

• A degree in Information Technology, Design, or related fields, OR equivalent work experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in full-stack development.

Technical Skills:

• Hands-on experience with at least one programming language: Java, C# (.NET Core), Python, or Typescript.
• Knowledge of databases like SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with AWS cloud technologies.

Bonus: Experience with Node.js, React, or Angular.
