Singapore Bowling Federation (SBF) is now accepting applications for the full-time position of Executive Director.
Key Responsibilities
The Executive Director (ED) is responsible for driving and executing SBF’s strategic vision, operational excellence, and long-term growth. This role encompasses oversight of all day-to-day operations and acts as the key liaison between the Federation’s Council, staff, stakeholders, and external entities. The ED ensures that the Federation operates in alignment with its mission, values, and objectives while delivering sustainable results across all functions, including sponsorships, revenue generation, high-performance and coaching programs, and stakeholder engagement. His/her role includes but is not limited to:
Strategic Leadership:
• Collaborating with the Technical Director and senior leadership to conceptualise, plan, and
implement initiatives that drive impactful growth in sponsorships, revenue streams, and high-
performance outcomes.
• Leading the development and execution of SBF’s long- and short-term strategic plans in
alignment with its overall goals and objectives.
• Maintaining a proactive relationship with the Council, providing informed advice, regular
updates, and actionable recommendations.
Operational Excellence:
• Overseeing the design, marketing, promotion, and delivery of all programs, products, and
services to ensure quality and alignment with stakeholder needs, whilst ensuring SBF is
consistently well represented.
• Ensuring the Federation is effectively structured and resourced to achieve its strategic
objectives.
• Developing and managing the annual budget, ensuring prudent resource allocation and
compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Ensuring the implementation of effective internal controls, governance frameworks, and
information management systems to assess and manage organisational risks.
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and external factors affecting SBF’s
operations and ensuring these are communicated or incorporated as appropriate.
Stakeholder Engagement & Representation:
• Acting as the Federation’s public spokesperson, representing the organisation to stakeholders,
government authorities, sponsors, and the public.
• Building and sustaining positive relationships with stakeholders, sponsors, and partners while
identifying opportunities for collaboration and growth.
• Overseeing fundraising strategies, including identifying potential funders, crafting proposals,
and managing records and documentation.
• Representing SBF in committees and forums as determined by the Council.
Governance & Compliance:
• Ensuring the integrity of the Federation’s public disclosures and internal reporting.
• Maintaining compliance with all applicable laws, policies, and ethical standards, creating a
culture of accountability and transparency.
• Supporting Council operations by providing relevant information, facilitating informed
decision-making, and assisting with Council evaluations.
People & Culture:
• Leading and managing staff in alignment to current laws and regulations, and in accordance
with approved policies and procedures.
• Ensuring the professional development and well-being of the team, promoting ethical conduct
and adherence to SBF’s values while creating a high-performance and inclusive culture.
Key Qualifications/Requirements
• Demonstrated experience in executive leadership, general management, or equivalent roles in
sports, non-profits, or related sectors.
• Strong strategic planning, operational management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Proven ability to develop and implement revenue-generating strategies
• Proven ability to develop and implement high-performance initiatives.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation abilities.
• Commitment to ethical practices and adherence to organisational values.
• Extensive travel and flexible work hours to fulfill the role effectively.
