Summary
The Senior PR Manager will be an integral part of SHEIN's Global Strategic Communications unit, which is responsible for global corporate reputation management, crisis communication and ESG communications. Members of this lean team are highly agile and adaptable, with their finger on the pulse of the company's strategic directions, ready to respond to any situation.
You should be a seasoned PR professional, with 7 to 10 years of PR experience, including ESG communications, either in an agency or in-house, with a strong portfolio of corporate writing samples, whether they are press releases, reports, newsletters, social media content, etc. As a core member of the company's global content hub, you are responsible for sourcing accurate information from relevant teams around the world to develop suitable content and formats to support various external-facing functions around the world and their objectives.
To excel in this role, you should be accustomed to fast-paced, collaborative environments, involving multiple stakeholders, a large variety of topics, and intense timelines. You should be adept at multitasking and have excellent people skills.
Job Responsibilities
Content Creation:
You will be responsible for creating compelling content and messaging for internal and external audiences, and effectively communicate complex announcements, taking into account situational nuances. This will involve writing press releases, talking points, speeches, pitches, and any other communications materials and assets as required.
Research
You will have a keen eye for picking up on industry trends that would be of interest to the business. You are analytical and can delve deep into subjects to establish new storylines.
Reputation Management
You keep abreast of the industry and can identify potential risks and threats, developing suitable materials and assets to mitigate the situation. You will support the maintenance of approved messaging guidance and responses, and support in the creation of new assets as needed.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree in any of the following fields: Communications, Public Relations, Digital Media, Media Studies, Journalism, or other relevant courses
- At least 7 years of working experience in relevant roles, with at least 2 years of working on or in ESG communications.
- Strong analytical, presentation (written and oral) and project management skills
- Ability to multi-task and have exceptional attention to detail while operating in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Strong self-starter and proactive attitude, with the ability to work through constraints and deliver high-quality results
- Web design capabilities a plus
