Job Purpose:

The main purpose of this position is to facilitate communication of policies and activities of the head office in Japan and the regional headquarter to each country by providing interpretation, translation support and secretarial services for Kumon Asia & Oceania's Management.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provide translation and interpretation from Japanese to English, and vice versa:
• Translate various documents such as presentations, newsletters, reports, company policies and speeches etc.
• Interpret and facilitate communication between Japanese and non-Japanese speaking stakeholders.
• Support Management in secretarial and administrative tasks, such as handling expenditure, travel arrangements, schedule meetings, coordinating and monitoring reporting schedules.

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:

• High proficiency in both Japanese (preferably JLPT level 1 or near-native) and English languages
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PPT) and video-editing

Credentials and Experience:

• A Bachelor’s Degree or a Diploma from a recognised institution in any discipline
• At least 2 years' professional experience in interpretation and translation

• Ability to prioritize and manage tight deadlines
• Willing to travel overseas

• Salary Package: Basic $2000 + Fixed Allowance + Store Incentives + OT pay = Gross $3000+
• Working Days : 5 Days [ Weekend & PH cannot off, based on weekly schedule]
• Working hours: 44 Hours/week
• OT payable after 44 hrs; PH will be double pay
• Working Location : Island Wide [ Outlet to be allocated upon interview ] *Current store at Orchard, Plaza Sing, Raffles City, upcoming store at Vivocity, Great World, One Raffles Place, Parkway Parade

Benefits:

• Annual Leave: Tea barista 7 days ; Senior 8 days – capped at 14 days
• Birthday leave – upon confirmation
• Probation period 3 months
• Increment $200 after probation
• Training period: 2 weeks (1st week at Tai Seng training centre, 2nd week on-site training)
• Performance bonus: July or Aug yearly

Responsibilities:

• Greeting customers in a friendly manner and manage customers queries in a timely and efficient manner
• Prepare beverage according to standardized recipes and customer preferences
• Utilize proper brewing techniques and equipment to ensure the quality and consistency of each beverage served
• Provide friendly and attentive customer service, greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting their beverage based on their preferences and dietary restrictions
• Prepare drinks by following the prescribed recipes and preparation techniques
• Accurately process customer orders, handle cash and electronic payments
• Act in compliance to operational policies and procedures
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the tea barista area, including brewing equipment, serving utensils, and workstations to meet the requirements of Health & Safety and Hygiene Protocol
• Ensure sufficient stock at all time by monitoring tea inventory levels, reporting discrepancies, restocking supplies handling stock delivery upon arrival as needed and communicating inventory needs to management
