About the Role

An exciting opportunity opens up to lead our KFC Asia Food Safety & Quality Assurance (FSQA) team! You will be responsible for supplier, distributor and restaurant food safety and quality assurance compliance, establishing and enforcing food safety and quality standards for all ingredients as well supporting successful execution of restaurant food safety compliance programs. In addition, this position will be responsible for growing and developing FSQA talent within the region.

This role will work closely with our franchisees within the Asia region, thus, travel may be required to the relevant markets.

• Partners with Global FSQA lead to develop and implement KFC Food Safety and Quality Assurance strategy, goals and objectives
• Takes an active leadership role with Business Management Unit (BMU) teams, global QA and cross-functional teams as the Region lead, ensuring alignment to brand and global standards.
• Supports growth and development of BMU talent, career paths and bench planning through coaching and assigned projects and building leadership skills. Provides peer coaching and support in a teamwork environment.
• Supports BMU in review and improvement of franchisee FSQA capability, ensuring those teams have necessary competencies to effectively execute quality standards across the KFC system.
• Manages performance development and workload for BMU leads including partnering with Global lead to define optimal structure.
• Partners with regional leads from other brands to leverage scale and address common challenges.
• Supports sustainability initiatives related to animal welfare and nutrition including menu labeling regulatory compliance.
• Manage tracking, analysis and communication on key operations food safety metrics through the QA Hotline, Food Safety Assessments, Brand Standards, Regulatory Inspections, and Pest Management
• Partners with BMU on new market entry to ensure appropriate infrastructure in place to support food safe operations and escalates concerns to global QA.
• Ensures specifications meet all local/state regulatory guidelines and manages specification updates ensuring all are current, complete, and accurate, and meet product design requirements.
• Partners with Innovation/Operations to identify opportunities for product/process improvements to deliver improved product quality and/or simplified processes for restaurants.
• Ensures regulatory compliance related to restaurant food safety programs and communicates with local regulatory officials when necessary to clarify standards and requests for follow-up.
• Monitors performance of suppliers and ensures compliance to specification and KFC/Yum QA Programs including GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative) compliance.
• Supports BMU crisis management teams with product removal process including supplier corrective action.
• Partners with BMU leads to address gaps identified by Yum Internal Audit team and provide necessary follow-up.
• Provides technical brand support to the KFC Food Innovation Team, Supply Chain, Operations, Training and Marketing in regulatory standards, operations procedures and food safety requirements.
• Attends BMU supplier summits, technical councils/workshops, and working groups (as needed) to continuously evaluate and update processes, driving quality and food safety improvements for KFC ingredients

• Bachelor’s Degree/Master’s Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Public Health or related field with 10+ years of strong project and people management experience.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in retail/foodservice food safety, supplier quality assurance, supply chain management
• Strategic thinker with ability to lead team through transition and change, identifying opportunities and providing perspective on critical goals/objectives
• Ability to travel approximately 25%-40% of time
• Strong strategic thinking and ability to develop integrated food safety programs and processes

Main purpose of the job

The Global Sustainability Lead -Human rights plays a crucial role in developing and implementing Human rights strategies in procurement. Providing leadership to the Procurement Sustainability teams globally, this role promotes best practices across all regions and drives human rights initiatives. A key accountability includes improving human rights aspects within Asahi Supply chain globally. This role also focuses on building strong stakeholder relationships and managing supplier partnerships, with a specific focus on human rights within sustainability. The ideal candidate will monitor, evaluate and enhance practices related to human rights within Asahi supply chain. Ultimately, this role supports Procurement's sustainability and the continuous improvement of Procurement capabilities and practices, aligning these with Asahi's overall strategy.

Accountabilities and deliverables

1. Develop and lead the Asahi’s global human rights strategy for the supply chain
2. Align human rights goals with broader corporate sustainability and social responsibility objectives
3. Monitor emerging trends, regulations, and innovations to anticipate and address future challenges
4. Oversee the creation, implementation, and continuous improvement of human rights policies, standards, and supplier code of conduct.
5. Ensure alignment with international frameworks and standards to keep the program up to date and relevant
6. Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for human rights in the supply chain and track progress against the targets
7. Develop clear strategy and implementation roadmap to achieve the targets
8. Work closely with all regions and category teams globally to increase capabilities on human rights

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform real-time analysis and trending of security log data from various security devices and systems.
• Maintain data sources feeding the log monitoring system, develop and maintain detection and alerting rules.
• Respond to user incident reports and evaluates the type and severity of security events.
• Execute initial triage of incidents to rule out false positives.
• Identify recurring security issues and risks and develops mitigation plans and recommends process improvements.
• Interpret and apply security policies and procedures.
• Establish escalation processes for security incidents and develops contingency plans and disaster recovery procedures.

Requirements:

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in any of the following fields: Computer Science, Information Technology, Programming & Systems Analysis, or Science (Computer Studies).
• Experience: A minimum of three years’ cumulative work experience in at least one of the following roles: Cyber Defense Incident Responder, Cyber Incident Responder, ICT Security Operations Analyst, or ICT Threat Monitoring Analyst.
