Below is the high-level technical requirements for Data Centre UNIX Admin:

Excellent experience in the following field:

• Install configure and manage Solaris 10 operating system.

• Install configure and manage Solaris Zones and Containers Administration.

• Install configure and manage LDOM’s/Oracle VM Administration. (Good to have)

• Install configure and manage RHEL, Oracle Linux Operating systems.

• DNS (Bind) Administration.

• LDAP/NIS+ user administration.

• Solaris and Linux(RHEL/OL) Patch management.

• Volume management - SVM, LVM, VxVM, zpools.

• Shell scripting and automation tools like ANSIBLE.

• VMWare

• EMC Storage System (UNITY, VNX)

• EMC Networker and Data Domain

• POSTFIX Mail server administration. (Good to have)

• Squid Proxy and HAproxy load balancer administration. (Good to have)

Responsibilities:

Solaris patching (legacy method on mirror disk, Live upgrade method on ZFS).

Working and troubleshooting experience on SVM (solaris volume management), zpools on Solaris

Working and troubleshooting experience on LVM (Linux volume management) on Redhat/ OLE.

Working on Management console like Ex:ILOM, iDrac for system troubleshoot.

Solaris and Linux : working on rescue method for system recover during /boot corrupt or boot failure.

Working experience on Filesystems : Linux (ext4 and XFS) and Solaris (UFS and ZFS)

Solaris virtualization : experience on Zones and LDOMS

Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related area

• 10+ years of experience in infrastructure operations

• ITIL certified is a plus

• Good verbal and written communication skills

• Self-starter who is assertive and energetic
