As a member of the Control and Instrumentation team, you will be responsible for executing maintenance work on instrumentation and control systems in the power plant effectively, efficiently, and to comply with safety and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out repair and rectification of equipment failure and malfunction. Test and recommissioning of rectified system or equipment
• Carry out the overhaul, inspection, calibration, servicing program during plant scheduled outage.
• Implement modification, upgrading, and installation plans for plant system and equipment for enhancement, availability, and reliability improvement.
• Maintains detailed work reports, spreadsheets, graphs, plots on computer-based software (Maximo, MS Word, and MS Excel)
• Assist Engineers and Technical Officers in the maintenance work
• Supervise contractors under his charge

Requirements:

• Diploma in Electronics Engineering or equivalent
• Possesses knowledge of Instrumentation
• Preferably possesses 2 years of experience in Power Plant or Oil and Gas industry
• Self-driven, with a good working attitude and a good team player
• Is available on standby after office hours for emergency calls
• Have a safety mindset and display good workplace safety behavior.
• Be a part of the CERT team and be actively involved in emergency responses whenever called upon.

The National Research Foundation (NRF) Medium Sized Centre for Advanced Robotics Technology Innovation (CARTIN) is a joint research center led by NTU with participation from NUS and ASTAR. The center has two research thrusts: Sentient Autonomy and Collaborative Autonomy, and focuses on developing advanced active perception and navigation, collaborative robotics and robots for humans technologies for applications in logistics, manufacturing, and elderly/health care.

CARTIN is looking for a highly experienced and motivated individual to join us a Research Associate to work on a NRF CARTIN project to conduct research on verification of resilience on sensing and control of multi-robot and human systems in a complex operational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out literature research on STOA of verification of resilience.
• Develop a formal-method based modeling framework that can capture a variety of operational requirements and performance constraints under uncertain environment, upon which quantification of resilience of sensing and control is feasible.
• Develop an efficient analysis and verification method to evaluate degree of resilience and satisfaction of given requirements and constraints.
• Apply the developed modeling and verification methods in a (simulation/field) testbed for robotic sensing.
• To publish research results in reputable journals and conferences (in particular, ICRA).
• To assist project PI to coach research students.

Job Requirements:

• A Masters degree in relevant fields with past research foci on formal methods, modeling and analysis of complex operations under uncertain environment, control and optimization.
• A strong publication record in relevant fields. Relevant publications in human-robot systems will be a plus.
• Knowledge in modeling, simulation, and analysis of human-robot systems is a plus.
