• Erects scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground levels.
• Studies specifications in blueprints, sketches, or building plans to prepare project layout and determine dimensions and materials required.
• Shapes or cuts materials to specified measurements, using hand tools, machines, or power saws.
• Follows established safety rules and regulations and maintaining a safe and clean environment.
• Builds or repairs cabinets, doors, frameworks, floors, or other wooden fixtures used in buildings, using woodworking machines, hand tools, or power tools.
• Assembles and fastens materials to make frameworks or props, using hand tools and wood screws, nails, dowel pins, or glue.
• Removes damaged or defective parts or sections of structures and repair or replace, using hand tools.
• Inspects ceiling or floor tile, wall coverings, siding, glass, or woodwork to detect broken or damaged structures.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as carpenter
• Hands-on experience in working with carpentry materials
• Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction
• Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers etc.)
• Ability to read technical documents and drawings
• Willingness to always follow safety guidelines

You will report directly to the Sous Chef and are required to work closely with the Sous Chef and Chef de Cuisine in order to assist with the preparation, cooking, and presentation of produce. You will be responsible for running a section with the assistance of the Commis Chef.

What You’ll Do (but not limited to):

• Manage and maintain a section with the assistance of Commis Chefs.
• Prepare and cook food to the restaurant specific standards.
• Develop, mentor, and supervise the Commis Chef section.
• Implement wastage controls, section stock control and rotation.
• Complete the cleaning schedule for the kitchen.
• Have detailed knowledge of the full menu along with its respective ingredients.
• Adhere to all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines and training programs set by the company and SFA. Achieve and maintain all health/safety requirements. Document cleaning schedules and temperature records.
• Report maintenance issues to your immediate supervisor.
• Use raw materials/ingredients in the correct and proper order.
• Give a detailed description of all dishes.
• Provide full support to the Head and Sous Chef, as well as other colleagues.
• Smoothly and efficiently run your section and complete tasks in a timely manner.
• Regularly and consistently train, coach, and support Commis chefs.

Position Objective

The role of the Early Years Teacher (PreNursery – KG2) is essentially to build and maintain a successful Early Years Age 18 months – 6 year old) program within the school by providing an educational atmosphere conductive to learning and developing through the process of inquiry and in conjunction with the International Baccalaureate PYP and MYP programs.

Responsibilities

The job holder’s responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young person’s for whom they are responsible, or with whom they comes into contact will be to adhered to and ensure compliance with the relevant Cognita Safeguarding; Child Protection Policy and Procedures at all times. If in the course of carrying out the duties of the role, the job holder identifies any instance that a child is suffering or likely to suffer significant harm either at school or at home, they must report any concerns to the School’s Designated Safeguarding Lead or to the Head or indeed to the Cognita Regional Safeguarding Manager so that a referral can be made accordingly to the relevant third party services.

• Planning in KG2 (Age 5-6 year olds) emphasizes has a balance of learning engagements as planned by teachers using the IB PYP framework as well as using AERO (American Education Reaches Out) student standards.
• Reporting quarterly on student progress on Gold student achievement standards across 8 domains for applicable grade levels of PreN – KG1 and for all grades conducting quarterly Parent Teacher Conferences or Student Led Conferences; semester 1 & 2 Unified classroom Semester reporting to parents.
• Planning which accommodates a range of ability levels and learning styles; teachers are expected to modify and accommodate for students as needed, i.e. accommodating individual language needs (EAL), student support services, students who are struggling as well as students who need more of a challenge

Position Requirements
