Primary accountabilities

Skills & Experience

• The candidate must have a minimum of 20 years experience in the engineering and construction industry, specifically in commercial and business development positions.

Scope of role:

Coordinate, drive and oversee operations activities to enable company to meet commitments made to business partners of the Southeast Asia region's projects.

Duties & Responsibilities:

1) Project coordination and Oversight:

Responsibilities include -

Project planning

Lead coordination associated with drafting, reviewing, reivsing and obtaining approvals for funded projects;

Monitor coordination with country leaders for proposal development.

Project preparation

Upon approval, coordinate project launch and kick-off meetings with project stakeholders.

Project oversight

After kick-off meeting, assemble monthly reports from country treams that summarizes progress and feedback for each project, analyze for compliance with commitments made to project funding, forward executive summary of progress, issues and risks to Regional Director.

Project reporting

Assemble and refine project reports from country teams for each project budget, coordinate reviews by stakeholders, distribute reports to teams and leaders.

Project shut-down

After all project commitments have been met, submit notification of intent to terminate a project.

Confirm the reason for each project termination; escalate to the Regional Director when the reason given is associated with the performance of work within one of the region's country teams

Communicate the notice of intent to end project, summarize direct costs that must end at midnight on the effective end date for each project.

2) Regional Resource Coordination and Oversight:

Responsibilities include -

• Annual budget preparation
• Monthly budget analysis
• Asset management

3) Leadership Support:

Responsibilities include -

Perform other duties that may be assigned by the Southeast Asia region's International Director (ID);

Provide continuity support to country teams when the Southeast Asia region's ID is traveling or out-of-office.

• Travelling between centres to deliver Academy classes which includes hosting online lessons.

• Maintaining regular open communication with parents, through informal, formal and scheduled parent-teacher meetings providing regular updates to parents on students’ performance and progression.

• Assist in Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) audits.
• Communicate with various fleet offices and departments.
• Collaborate with the Head Office on inter-company transactions.
• Assist in providing supporting documents and audit schedules to auditors during year-end audits.
• Engage with the accounts team at the vessel owner’s office.

Ad Hoc Assignments:

• Manage impromptu tasks to support the finance and accounts department.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 2 years of experience with a robust understanding of accounting, particularly in handling vessel reports independently.

Position Objective

The Student Support Department (SSD) is looking for a highly qualified Special Education Teacher with previous experience in delivering individualized intervention to join our team of multidisciplinary professionals. Utilizing a MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Support) Model, the primary role of the Special Education Teacher is to provide Tier 3/intensive intervention directly to students as well as design individualized education for students that require increased support, curricular modification, and explicit instruction.

Responsibilities

The job holder’s responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young person’s for whom they are responsible, or with whom they come into contact will be to adhered to and ensure compliance with the relevant Cognita Safeguarding; Child Protection Policy and Procedures at all times. If in the course of carrying out the duties of the role, the job holder identifies any instance that a child is suffering or likely to suffer significant harm either at school or at home, they must report any concerns to the School’s Designated Safeguarding Lead or to the Head or indeed to the Cognita Regional Safeguarding Manager so that a referral can be made accordingly to the relevant third party services.

Delivers effective and efficient individualized intervention to students

• Utilizes data-based decision making and evidence-based strategies to provide individualized education
• Plans, prepares, and delivers intensive intervention in a one-on-one and small group settings
• Collaborates with colleagues/general education teachers, service providers, community programs, parent/guardians to deliver effective intervention to increase independence in the general education classroom
• Establishes positive, safe, and trusting relationships with older students, their families and teachers to encourage student progress related to students’ needs
• Coordinates services alongside Occupational Therapists, Speech-Language Therapists, and Student Support Teachers for the purposes of addressing the individual needs of students

Regularly assesses students’ progress to modify instruction/intervention

• Collects and analyzes screening as well as progress monitoring data to identify student needs, modify instruction and curriculum, and report progress to parents, faculty, staff, and administration

Serves as a case manager for students receiving Tier 3 support services

• Gathers relevant background information related to students’ strengths and challenges

Position Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience working within special education with relevant qualifications

Qualifications

Required:

• Current Special Education Teaching Certification from an accredited educational institution or equivalent certification
• Minimum 3 years’ experience working within a special education department
• Previous experience and/or training using recognized screening and progress monitoring assessments

Preferred:

• Knowledge and experience delivering Tier 3 support services within an MTSS Model Training and/or previous experience with using recognised Tier 3 intervention programs and assessments
