RESPONSIBILITIES
- To check and verify room status report.
- To clean all assigned rooms and designated common area in accordance with the established procedure.
- Clean, inspect & release rooms to “Vacant / Clean” status in accordance with hotel procedure. Clean all the rooms for which you are responsible in the time allocated
- Ensure that all requests by guests are attended to.
- Be responsible for the care and maintenance of his/her work store, trolley and all equipment and ensure that all equipment and materials are left in the same place and correct manner at the end of each shift. Ensure that equipment is in good working order.
- Know how to use the nominated cleaning products (dosages and conditions of use)
- Maintain the departments: linen room, laundry room, staff quarters, etc.
- Advises the office of any lost property and valuables and return these to the office as soon as possible.
- Reports any guest complaints, incidents of suspicious persons on the floor to the Housekeeper Coordinator.
- Ensure a high standard of cleanliness of corridor and service areas.
- To clean floor pantries, service area and floor stairway.
- Ensure that the hallways and traffic areas are kept clear.
- To attend to guest request immediately.
- Ensure that the guest’s personal effects are safe.
- To report and hand over L & F item to housekeeping office.
- To tidy and pack floor pantries neatly
- To report all guest room defects to housekeeping office and ensure rectified by Engineering team.
- To report on any irregularities found in guestroom or floor corridor to housekeeping office.
- Identify any technical problems encountered in the rooms. Inform the relevant person of any technical problems encountered.
- To carry out periodical cleaning task under crash program daily.
- Participates in the recycling programme.
- Apply the hygiene regulations
- Check the quality of the work completed using the hotel’s internal self-inspection sheet.
- Contribute to the good management of linen, welcome products and cleaning products.
- Set out the welcome products in accordance with Ibis network standards
To attend to any other job requirement as requested by the Asst Housekeeping Manager for the efficient functioning of the Department and to respond to changes in Departmental functions as dictated by the Industry, Company, or the Hotel.
- To be ready and responsible to perform any other duties as designated or required by Management from time to time.
